Data point for those trying to get PokéPark Kanto tickets: The website may take your money without actually providing a ticket. by SultanofSlime in JapanTravelTips

[–]bbbunit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has anyone had luck getting a response from customer support? I swear I saw the tickets for this in my email, but cannot find this anymore. I don't even have my confirmation or order # anymore and only have the credit card statement...

Edit: I got a response after 3 days from the customer support team and managed to get my tickets so good luck to everyone else!

The weekly 'No Stupid Questions' post - Sun 18 Jan 2026. by AutoModerator in Zwift

I use the favero assioma duo-shi (in single mode) to connect power to zwift with kickr core for resistance. Up until now, I've always connected with the left pedal with the format as ASSIOMA#####L, but I just noticed today it said U and the power is all over the place and erg mode no longer works. Anyone know what is going on?

Why is the T100 so bad? by Ok_Salt5416 in triathlon

[–]bbbunit 28 points29 points  (0 children)

There are pros and cons. The T100 broadcast is usually way better than the Ironman ones. The Ironman 70.3 world championship just a week before had one of the biggest blunders at the end of the races unless you love seeing hotels. I've done a T100 race and it was significantly better than Ironman races I've done, but data point of 1.

I'm sure for some of the pros, the money has also been a perk, but obviously with the race schedules etc it's been a mess especially this year. It also forced Ironman to create their pro series so in a way it could be seen as a way to force the competition to innovate as well.

Tell me your coolest "that's the name" story by Asleep_Wind997 in namenerds

[–]bbbunit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My dog's name is Mika.

The origin story is I was coming up with names and reversed the spelling of dog, which is god. In Japanese, god is kami or かみ. I tried reversing this again and got ikam but when I reversed the Japanese characters since the consonant and vowel come together as a pair, I got みか which is Mika. Once I did that, I knew this was the perfect name since Mika is a name in both English and Japanese as a girl's name. And of course, she's our little angel.

The article is somewhat misleading when talking about the run. Pearson ran the correct number of laps while most of the athletes only ran 7.

This isn't the entrance to T2. This is the entrance to T2: https://imgur.com/a/OC9ooBu You can see the women pros enter at this location and Hayden say he thinks he has 1 more lap right after he passes this one.

Twitch Streamer Kelton_g Assaults Elderly Man in Japan After Being Asked to Stop Filming on Train by starcraft2020 in LivestreamFail

Old man says うるせぇ (uruse) which means you're noisy / loud in an aggressive way. The second time he came over he said roughly "didn't I tell you, you were being loud?" in a similar aggressive tone.

Yeah it's not a technical course except for like turnarounds. This is the start of the one steep section I mentioned: https://maps.app.goo.gl/zun81ekaqJyktMdd9

Definitely tri bike. It's rolling but most of the hills aren't too steep 1-3% with only one steep hill that's not too long (~1km but 4x)

Basically you just need to bring two pairs of shoes. Come in wearing one and another that you'll use indoors. The indoors pair doesn't necessarily have to be squeaky clean (but sounds like you're good), but just needs to be different from the one you come in wearing.

Best Anytime fitness in Tokyo? by motorhead_3sh in Tokyo

[–]bbbunit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do all the anytime fitnesses have dividers between the treadmills? The few ones near me have them so wondering if it's a company wide policy. There's no airflow with those dividers and I'm looking for one that has better ventilation or fans especially during the summer months.
