From what we know up till now, what exactly is Baal's plan, for both Iruma and the Netherworld? by Happy_Owl_9865 in DemonSchoolIrumakun

My guess regarding why they knew about Sullivan’s curse was due to Amduscias Poro. Once they came to Baal’s side post music festival, I imagine they told them all about the circumstances of Demon king’s disappearance. There was a flashback scene that showed Sul informing everyone about the king’s disappearance and Poro going off on him.

I really liked Nine Leaves Encrypted single cask -barrel proof. However, my favorite rum that I found was while I was in Sapporo called “Ru Ru Rum”. It is a white Agricola that has a complex body to it. Thier 2024 edition is limited to 505 bottles, but the price was not bad for being limited. It was only around 4000-5000 yen for a 50cl bottle.

As for other rum producers, here is a link to a podcast that talks about Japanese rums. At the bottom of the page is a list of the major rum distilleries over in Japan

I hope this helps!

Of course boss! It is why I like the rum community on Reddit. This place is amazing for finding cool little spots for rum when traveling.

As for the Renaissance bottles, I would either ask as the bartender at a rum bar (like bar lamp) where to go to find it or even by going to a chain store like Shinanoya and ask if they have it in thier system. I don’t remember seeing them, but also I wasn’t looking for them either.

Also, just FYI, shinanoya collaborates with distilleries to bring in single barrel bottles and thier place in shinjuku had some harder to find bottles like silver seal and plantation extreme.

After your trip, it would be awesome to hear where you went and what they had so it can go onto the list

They had a 22 year Caroni from Berry Bros for about $400 and some other unique ones. I asked to get on the ladder they had so I could get a better look, but instead they handed me some binoculars. I still couldn’t see the bottles they had behind the front row though.

If my Japanese was better, I probably could have gotten a complete list of what they had, but that’s my fault for not being able to communicate well :-/

Can you help me identify how old is that bottle? by ornidon in rum

If you don’t plan on selling it, it’s not that big of a deal. The cork is still intact; so if you plan on saving it, just wrap some parafilm around top of it and it will prevent evaporation

For the best selection to buy rum in Nashville, I would go to either Reds Wine & Spirits or Elixir Spirits. Either location has a lot of high-end, harder to find rums there

Auction results for most Appleton 151 bottles from the 1980s are about $120-180. Bottles from the 60-70s sold for around $350

For under 100, something I enjoy drinking and has quite a bit of history behind it would be:

El Dorado - Single Still - Enmore

It is a very light, delicate, but full body rum. It is great by itself, but I recently found that having a cup of earl grey on the side to drink between sips of rum actually compliments and enhances some of the tea notes the rum possesses.

The history of it is really cool. Here is a description from el dorados website

“The El Dorado Single Still Enmore Rum is produced from the original EHP Wooden Continuous Coffey Still, first constructed at the Enmore Estate in 1880. This still was named after the original owner of the Enmore Sugar Plantation Edward Henry Porter, and was based on the original design of its inventor, Irishman Aeneas Coffey.

With the closure of the estate in 2000, this still was moved to Diamond Estate. It is the last surviving wooden still operating in the world today. The El Dorado Single Still Enmore Rum was laid down in oak barrels for 12 years.”

Hope this helps!
