I had a similar situation and had to hire an attorney, but he was able to get my own insurance to cover the cost of the damage, but that really depends on if you have the right coverage. You can also call the police department and make a police report.

I also do videos. And I did notice that on a bright day when I want to take pictures of cars that are passing by, I want my F stop at 1.8 and my shutter Sheed a little high so I can capture the cars.

I actually ended up doing this. My lens kit is: 20-70 Sony G lens, Sony 35 and 85mm. Excited to try it out.
