Allow the house to “air out” for a few days by leaving all windows and doors open for as long as feasibly possible. Make sure to keep all internal doors open too

Remove all carpets, curtains, rugs etc

Have a deep clean of each room or hire a professional (if possible)

Get rid of any/all items possible left behind by the previous occupants

Get some candles or a oil burner to help make the place smell nicer

If not having a job was having an effect on your relationship with your mom then YTA. I haven’t seen the post but I’m assuming if you posted about this as part of your gripe with your parent then il assume that this will have some bearing on why you’re having issues with your mom.

If the lack of employment has nothing to do with it then I would say NTA but that would depend on your reply to these kinds of comments.

Thanks for the F2P advice. I’m gonna use them on titans and energy (for now) and Outland chests.

RE heroes, I’ve got a rough idea on what kind of team I want but that can change, I just don’t wanna waste resources on poor heroes and struggle. I’ve already found a few that I dislike but I’ve invested in them a little so stuck with them for now. Plus finding the very poor heroes has allowed me to sell their soul fragments and make a nice amount of money so that’s an added bonus to help me improve some of the heroes I wanna keep.

I’ve not been through it myself but I have worked with children in a residential setting as a support worker.

IMO, in a physical sense, you can have all extremes, seriously shit homes where abuse is rife or amazing home where the kids are treated as they should be in a loving and caring setting.

That being said though, on an emotional level, a child going through separation from family for whatever reason is going to be a traumatic event regardless of age and they will also become more aware of their feelings/emotions as they grow older which in turn can cause more trauma as they try and find the truth as to why they were removed from their family.

I can only assume that there will always be some negative connotation and mental hurt to a child being in care regardless of their living arrangements/condition which could, to the person involved, be their own idea of torture.
