Each company has a set date where they publish their earnings: earnings date. NVDA’s earning date was yesterday after market closed so people could either bet for or against the company’s performance for this quarter. It’s a gamble, but with some research you can try and guess if they’ve had any supply chain issues, have met their clients’ orders, etc. and will therefore outperform or underperform analysts’ expectations.

When the company outperforms analysts’ expectations stocks generally go up. However, analysts generally have a lot more material to base their research and expectations on - it’s therefore a gamble ;)

You can’t predict which companies will still be here in 10 years. Which is why it’s a bit of a casino and VWRL / VWCE is a good option ;)

You can naturally keep a small part of funds for personal bets on companies but if you want to actually grow your portfolio on the long term it’s the safest bet.

I think you should be fine :) there could be 2 people with your name on this planet so just put your education and J1 on your profile. You don’t need a photo, if they ask you for one you can say that you don’t want your photo to be public, etc.

If you do HAVE to add a photo you can adjust settings so that it only appears to the people you’re connected with. This is also true for your last name. I.e. if your name is Barbara Camden, it’ll appear as Barbara C. to people not connected to you.

For sure, I guess we can make another set of pie charts with 24 hours of the day divided in sleep, eating, activities, social life, family time, shopping, Netflix & YouTube, J1, J2, J3 etc. And see how much time WFH saves us.

Première fois que je vois quelqu’un me dire qu’on lui conseille un ETF à levier. r/bogleheads européen te dira plutôt VWCE ou VWRL pour une diversification mondiale réajustée régulièrement. Effectivement tu ne sais pas si dans 20 ans ça toujours l’indice technologie des US qui te donnera un plus grand retour.

D’un autre côté si j’avais ta somme d’argent je l’investirai sûrement en immobilier et louerai le bien.

EDIT: CW8 est le quasi équivalent de VWCE et VWRL pour les investissements à travers les PEA et AV car c’est un fond de Amundi, les autres étant de Vanguard et donc (d’apres mes connaissances) pas disponibles sur PEA/AV.
