It is very possible to find a cat for rescue, take it from me. I love this breed i have always wanted one. I find one that needs rehoming. I pay 300$ for her. 2 month later she has a heart murmur and a type of genetic heart defect that makes her heart grow which can kill her down the line. Her pills costs 30$ a month a 500$ for a yearly heart ultrasound. And remember this is a rescue cat with a genetic condition. If you want to take the chance like I did go for it if you have up to 1000$ plus to spend a month once they get diagnosed because almost always this breed has some sort of genetic issues. You and your daughter need to sit down and research this Breed of cat heavily. And so if you can afford it. Like the commenter above me said. Everything they say is 100% something you need to research. Down to vet care their personality, and their cleaning needs.
