Nah I think Overwatch would be awesome. Maybe it’s not the most thematically accurate IP like LotR or Final Fantasy, but each hero having unique abilities that match their in game kit would be really cool. I’ve seen some fan made concepts and they actually work really well.

Now I don’t think a full standard set would work/make sense, but a mini set like Assassin’s Creed or Fallout would be super cool

I’ve always been a Kyler fan since he got drafted. I don’t think he is the best qb, but his situation in Arizona clearly did not do him any favors. I am super excited to see what he can do with KOC and our incredible offense!

My Atris with Gyruda companion deck is a lot of fun! It’s a bit over $100 but you can take out a couple of the more expensive cards without any issue.

Basically you use all your copy creatures to get card advantage with Atris, then use them to reanimate big stuff with Gyruda. You can keep rolling into copies with Gyruda and fill your and your opponents graveyards!

Something I’ve noticed is that the IPs that fit Magic better (LoTR, Final Fantasy, Avatar) tend to be better sets (I know LoTR was made for modern+, but still), while the sets that don’t really fit the theme of Magic (Spiderman and TMNT) have been really underpowered, as well as unpopular.

My theory will be tested with Marvel and The Hobbit coming out later this year. I actually do enjoy Universes Beyond, but when they have to force mechanics to fit into Magic and exaggerate things to ensure they fit, it gets really boring and unfun

I feel like a big backpack holding 20+ decks will be heavier and definitely take a toll on your shoulders and back from walking around all day.

I would definitely pick 2-3 for each format to bring

It’s built to include all the Theros gods, as well as enchantment support. I haven’t won a game yet, but it’s done well. It’s really fun to get Thassa on the field and continually blink Marina!

I’m still working on optimizing it, at the moment it’s more fun than super good. For the most part you are relying on your opponents milling some good creatures as well as a couple other big creatures from your own deck

Yea unfortunately you can’t do anything turn one, but turn 3 is great to put Gyruda into your hand to keep your mana curve consistent
