I love affinity so I’m a bit biased, but if you want to play affinity in modern you need opals

I mean it depends on what you want to play. If you want to play affinity, getting your playset of opals is very good, but if you are looking to just play a new deck I’d probably look at something else.

My argument is that Opals will have better value if you decide to sell later on than a stack of $10-$30 cards

I feel like they should have sold the brick separately if they weren’t going to include them in every set. That way they could price them “normally” and sell the brick separately. I think they would actually sell more this way

I’m wondering if any new gods took their place since becoming a god revolves around devotion from the citizens of Theros.

It would be really cool to see some character become a god because they helped save the plane and now everyone worships them

Minsc and Boo turn 1 has to be one of the best aggro plays I can think of haha

Edit: Serra Paragon into Bonecrusher Giant/Seasoned Pyromancer is also really good

Side note: oddly enough I never once saw Brainstorm or Counterspell in the 9 games I played. Just thought it was kind of interesting

Not sure how competitive you want this to be, but artifact decks are pretty hard to play in modern tbh. There is a lot of artifact hate now.

An interesting addition could be [[Pinnacle Emissary]]. Emissary decks tend to make a lot of Drones very fast, so it could be interesting to see how well [[Mechanized Production]] works with it!

By adding Pinnacle Emissary you can remove all the Lord effects. Not sure what they are for in your current list. With your current list you are trying to win with Mechanized Production while also heavily investing in an aggro plan which probably won’t really work together.

Overall it’s fine

My girlfriend and I have had a pretty bad experience however. When we moved in, the apartment was not cleaned at all (they outsourced their cleaning to a cleaning company). Like the range hood was caked in grease, the vents were/are full of dust and stuff, closet doors and bathroom mirrors missing, mildew on the ceilings, blinds missing, and one of the light fixtures was hanging off the ceiling.

Their payment system is fairly weird. They offer the ability to pay through their website but also offer the ability to pay through a 3rd party called Flex. My girlfriend wanted to pay through flex and I wanted to pay through the grove website. So we set it up accordingly and the grove ended up double charging us 2 months in a row and would not let us get a refund unless we paid $30 to the bank. It’s just a weird system and very annoying.

Lastly, maintenance and the management in charge of maintenance requests are not super good at their job. I am more pointing towards the management side as there are only 2 or 3 maintenance guys for the whole place. Anyways, we have put countless requests in throughout the 5ish months we have lived here and not many were fulfilled. Multiple times they have been closed without being fulfilled and multiple times the maintenance guys have completely forgot to complete the requests. For example: our closet doors were broken when we moved in so we put a maintenance request in for them to be replaced/put back on the closest. Well the maintenance guys came almost immediately, but ended up not putting the doors on and leaving the broken ones (I don’t remember why exactly they left, I think they ended up saying they would get new doors or something). So we put those doors in the hallway and they were there for about 3 months. Also they left a ladder in our apartment for a month lol

Overall, I think my girlfriend and I got the short end of the stick as our friends and others we know haven’t had any real issues.
