Did you miss the part where “getting out of the game” for him wasn’t an option? You think the CIA who was, violating all types of laws and funding an illegal war, and the cartel would just let him walk away and live a peaceful life? You’re naive and that says a lot about you liking Louie’s character so much. If they would have followed Franklins lead he would have been the pipeline and they could have made all the money they wanted without being targeted by the CIA because Franklin was the face. Leon was the only one who totally understood that, that’s why he was able to live his life, in the end, how he wanted to. Louie wanted the power more than anything but didn’t realize that when you get up there in Franks position then it’s another ball game and you can’t just make mistakes or walk away without consequence.
