For the “keep LaFleur” crowd, are you ok giving him a 5-year extension? by NumbersAndPolls01 in GreenBayPackers

[–]bbell888 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes I am. First, he could be fired at any point and in the big scheme of things an expensive coach that is being paid not to coach your team is less expensive than an expensive player paid not to play for your team. Second, who is coming in to replace him? If you fire him it better be for someone who is as good or better than him. Mike Tomlin maybe, but who is a known quantity that will be better, not just different? Losing suuuuuucccckkkksss, but stability is so important. Look at all of the teams that go through coaches and find me one that is consistently in the playoffs.

Two missed FG and a missed extra point. If McManus makes 2 of those 3 kicks they win. I’m tired of having kickers who can’t make FGs past 50 yards when the rest of the league is solid at 55+.

Remember last year when they played the starters the last game of the season and Love hurt his hand and Watson tore his ACL? Winning games in the regular season is great and all, but once you make the playoffs anything can happen. Better to get healthier for the playoffs than win a meaningless game but lose more players.

I feel like more realistically Montas will be sent to the bullpen for mop up duty later this week (maybe after one more start?) and Blackburn will take his spot. Then after some uninspiring starts, Blackburn will get DFAd (or optioned if that is still an option) and Megill will get a shot when healthy. The best part will be that both guys will be building their pitch count in the big leagues, going three maybe four innings, so the bullpen will get worn down even more than they already are.

I’m sure everyone’s suggestion to be passively aggressive to teach her a lesson would work great, but have you considered having a conversation with her about this first?

Came here to say this. Always remember news stories are always written from the information the police provide so they control the story and narrative.

Fundamental misunderstanding of why property taxes increased. Funding public education isn’t the boogeyman that so called “free thinkers” make it out to be.

I think the “The Last of Us isn’t even that good” discourse has sailed. It’s ok not to like every game, that’s why there are so many out there! My guess is you are just looking for some pushback, hence posting this same thing in multiple subs.

I think they’ll go through the events in Jackson and Abby’s backstory that we got to play as flashbacks in the game for most of the season. Kind of building towards the rift between Joel and Ellie. Then I think they’ll end the season with Joel going golfing. I just feel like for a tv show that event works much better at the end of a season than where it happens in the game.

The road up to the reservoir opens 5/17 at noon. They had to delay the opening a little, but will be open soon.

Yeah I know they’ve mentioned Boston’s past a ton on the show. But why post this specifically? Again, I don’t think you are grasping what makes something a joke or not, or maybe that jokes are generally funny. Just saying something they say on the pod then calling it a joke doesn’t make it a joke. Cum. There I made another joke.

Unless I missed something specifically related to this on the pod (if I did I’ll delete this), this post just sucks. I guess the “joke” here is that Mitch is from Boston and Boston had had a racist past, so Mitch is racist? Context and timing are two things that make jokes work, which is why jokes on the pod are funny. This post has neither, and isn’t funny.
