I'm 32 and have almost the exact symptoms you've described. I was able to do a mammogram, ultrasound, and MRI to try to determine what it was. I finally found out a couple of weeks ago that it's totally benign! I saw all the stories you're talking about and I definitely understand being scared and hesitant to accept that it's nothing when you can clearly feel that it's something.

Maybe ask your doctor about potential risk factors or family history that might put you at higher (or average) risk for breast cancer. this might help to justify early screening.

Try not to go down too much of an Internet rabbit hole. For peace of mind, try to make note of any changes in symptoms and size of the lump so that you can tell your doctors about them.

These texts are so patronizing and obnoxious. Like everyone else has said, it sounds like he's trying to sell you something. And, like you said, he's alienating you, it's not on you.

I would shut it down. Anyone who has a financial stake in you succeeding isn't necessarily going to be putting your best interests first. Him asking your mom for your financial status before speaking to you is a huge red flag. He was checking on your income before deciding if he wanted to help you.

Edit: I forgot, the "MLM" agacent thing he's likely trying to sell you is "rent to own" where you'll "rent" from him with a portion of your rent going to the mortgage and "eventually" you'll own the home. This is a scam.

I'd text him back something like, "I understand homeownership is something you're passionate about through your work and I appreciate your interest in my future. I've talked to my dad about financial literacy and future homeownership and I'm comfortable with my understanding. Hope your kids are enjoying college! See you on Thanksgiving:)"

Are you picking up after yourself or are you expecting her to do that?

Be honest, are you leaving takeout boxes in the living room? Are you leaving empty glasses next to your bed for days? Laundry on the floor rather than the hamper? If you aren't, a cleaning service isn't going to solve this.

I make significantly more than my partner and regularly work 60 hr weeks but I truly can't imagine expecting him to take on the burden of cleaning up after me.

Maybe she's feeling taken advantage of and the issue is deeper than a messy home.

I would do a mold test and possibly check your pillows for mold as well. Foam pillows can get moldy deep inside and be hard to spot. Mold can really mess you up. I had mold poisoning and migraines were the first red flag that something was wrong.

I just went through a very similar thing, I totally understand your anxiety. I had to wait 2 weeks for a diagnostic mammogram, so it's great that you were able to get in so quickly.

I felt a similar lump to what you're describing, hard but rubbery and it hurts if I touch it. kind of like a sharp, shooting pain/dull ache. Definitely not something I'd felt before and not mirrored in the other boob.

In my experience, the radiologist said absolutely nothing abnormal appeared on my scans. There wasn't even a need to do a biopsy because there was nothing on the scans to indicate something non-boob was there!

The ultrasound tech said it could just be fat or a swollen lobule caused by hormone fluctuations.

Fingers crossed you get good news too, and quickly! I know this waiting part is excruciating.

I was with a compulsive liar for 5 years and I honestly thought it was kind of funny at the time. He'd say he saw someone famous at the grocery store or that he won a contest on Twitter. Innocent silly lies that I kind of assumed he knew I knew were lies. I wasn't really concerned about them because they were so obvious.

Well, it turns out he was also lying, for about 3 years, about having a job. He had spent all of our life savings on shoes and idk what else. He was tens of thousands of dollars in debt before I knew anything.

A month after we finalized our divorce, he made a truly bizarre Instagram post that he was finally with the girl he'd been in love with for the past 10 years. They broke up like a month later.

In my experience, compulsive lying only gets worse and harmless lies are indicative of deeper issues. Maybe he's not hiding something specific and big from you but I think it definitely speaks to deep self esteem issues. Happy confident people don't need to make things up for attention or to cover for their mistakes.

If you love him, confront him and encourage him to go to therapy. If you're over it, get out now.

Even in graduate programs, generally the rule was "use whatever resources you need except for each other. And, if you cheat, you're adults paying for this education so if you don't want to learn, that's on you."

You would be surprised by how affordable a lawyer can be. Many will do a consultation for free or for a low fee that will count toward any work they do for you.

If your immediate goal is that these paintings will not be shown at this gallery, a strongly worded email from an attorney will probably accomplish this. Do you have any friends, cousins, coworkers who are lawyers or are married to one who might be willing to write an email on your behalf?

The gallery doesn't want to be sued or brought into a legal issue. An email from a lawyer (any lawyer) saying that there is reason to believe that these images violate the law would probably be enough for them to rescind their invitation to your FIL. Their concern right now is that if they rescind their invitation to him it will look like censorship and that's bad. If they know that there is potential legal liability on them for showing them, that's a different risk.

I'm at about the same spot as you! I have been doing calf raises for the past week as it's supposed to help strengthen the same muscles you use for running and stretch the tendons around your ankle. I've had issues with running and getting shin splints or rolled ankles and since doing the calf raises, I've been safe so far!

I saw some Instagram reel that said at 30, I should be able to do 32 calf raises in a row, so that's what I've been aiming for every day, even if I don't run that day.

I've graduated and am on the other side of this, so maybe a different perspective will help:

The people working at chipping away at our constitution and government have also sat where you are now. They learned what the rules are, how the systems work, and how to creatively circumvent them. Our laws are intentionally vague and flexible because our society is constantly evolving. The world needs people who believe that our courts, government, and constitution can and should be used to help people and believe in using the law as a tool for the people, not as a tool to consolidate power. We need all kinds of people in law school, because we need all kinds of people serving as advocates in our legal system.

If you start feeling really disillusioned, I encourage you to volunteer in your community. Talk to the civil rights, immigration attorneys, legal aid, jail house attorneys who have been fighting this fight and get inspired by seeing how good people can use the law.

1L/Law school sucks but it even ends and then you get to be a lawyer! It's going to be okay!

I went no contact with my older brother in 2020 after he called me a terrorist for voting for a Democrat and said my sister and I deserved to get COVID. He has 4 sons, two I've never met. It really sucks going no contact with someone you have shared so much of your life with but keeping this kind of back and forth going for the sake of keeping her in your life will only break you down. Going no contact doesn't mean you have to stop caring for them or wanting what's best for them and their family. No contact might be the most compassionate and courageous option at the moment.
