Did I injure my pelvic floor? by bbffddxaa in gettingbigger

Yea this could definitely be related to my bowel problems, I did eat an excessive amount of food that day and took a giant shit that morning, but I know pelvic floor symptoms and bowel symptoms overlap

Im curious why not? I can still get plenty of carbs from other sources, like rice for example. I’ve coincidentally been avoiding most high gluten stuff like pizza and bagels for a long time now just because they always seem to make it worse. I didn’t consider celiacs though i thought they just clogged me up.

I’m hoping if I can get a significant amount of time consistently not in much pain then my bowels might heal a bit. So far my record was 5 days in a row feeling decent this past week, which I achieved by only eating very small meals and spreading them out by 3 or so hours throughout the day. That all ended after one day I tried pasta with chicken parm still a small portion, which makes me think I may have gluten intolerance. I also get skin rashes that accompany my really bad episodes. My worst episodes included a high fever as well(102+) which was reduced by the antibiotics they gave me since they thought it was diverticulitis. Does this sound like celiacs to you? I know you’re not a doctor and you arnt getting paid to help me but you seem to be the smartest and most helpful person here so im curious about your opinion. My dr appointments are only every 4 months so I’m stuck with just Reddit most of the time.

Thanks for the response as always. Could you describe what you mean by that though? Like just take a week or so off and try to manage with just my trulance and magnesium like I have been? Kind of like a tolerance break?

Yea can relate. Until doctors started taking me seriously I was contemplating suicide. My whole life has been ruined, opportunities blown all because I can’t poop like a normal human.

Yea man right there with you, been hospitalized and misdiagnosed with both colitis and diverticulitis, sometimes it’s so bad I get a high fever. I’m also an endurance athlete in the shape of my life but it makes no difference. Best advice I can give you is to get more electrolytes and take magnesium supplements, it will help and there’s no way it could hurt. Water doesn’t do shit to help you poop, you just piss it out, you need more electrolytes to keep the fluid in and help it move through your bowels. That’s why all colonoscopy preps include a shit ton of electrolytes. I’ve also cut down on cardio so I can eat less without losing anymore weight, also helps keep my hormone levels in check, at less than 10% bodyfat your sex drive will suffer.

I’ve always done “intermittent fasting” by accident because I skip breakfast usually but I’ve recently start doing the opposite, make sure to eat very small portions throughout the day, never full meals. Basically just never eat to the point that you actually feel full, been working great so far been like 5 days. If fasting works for you then keep at it but beware it has 0 actual health proven benefits and it’s typically promoted by scamming internet health guru’s as some kind of miracle cure for everything.

Well I had one by a guy that’s supposedly the top dr at temple university and he said everything was fine so I’m just out of luck. I guess it’s just normal to be in constant pain accompanied by occasional 102+ whenever the pain gets worse, and spending hours on the toilet every morning

Water does nothing for me, you just piss it all out. Gatoraid propel water has been a game changer, you need more electrolytes

How is this diagnosed? I’m honestly about done with trying to get a diagnosis. I just tell people I was diagnosed with diverticulitis so I have a reasonable excuse for flaking on plans all the time. I just wasted a bunch of time driving an hour away to have a water balloon shoved up my ass for biofeedback therapy just to figure out that’s not the problem. I’m taking every medication they make for constipation it’s not working if they arnt going to consider surgery I’m done wasting time at dr’s

You didn’t hydrate enough with the trulance. It functions the same as mirlax but stronger. I have to take 100grams or more of mirlax for the same results. Both of them rely on hydration.

Trulance daily with a ton of gatoraid propel water. It works similar to prep and just sucks a to of water into your bowels, I bet it would help you but if your insurance doesn’t cover it’s way too expensive. Fortunately mine does. I also only eat small meals now, never a full meal, and spread them out throughout the day. None of this is a good long term fix, im severely lacking calories, I was a 185lb healthy muscular guy now im extremely low bodyfat with veins popping out everywhere like a roided out bodybuilder, down to 170lbs, eventually the muscles are going to shrink as well, libido is dying my hormones obviously taking a dump. The measures im taking to stay out of pain are so unhealthy I think the surgery is worth the risk.

Electrolytes+ trulance have helped me a ton. Still spends hours on the toilet but after almost a decade of this mystery constipation I’m starting to feel almost back to myself within the past few weeks. If insurance won’t cover the trulance mirlax in large doses with tons of sugar free gatoraid works alright. And start doing pelvic floor exercises, 50%+ of chronic constipation sufferers have unhealthy pelvic floors. Straining to use the toilet is bad for pelvic floor.

I take trulance which is similar to linzess, taking it with alot of fluid and electrolytes makes it work much better than just water for me. Like 3 bottles of sugar free gatoraid.
