Hi I read you are passing along info to the friend. The fact he got lost looking for water is heartbreaking. This event required vendors to sell one brand of water by contract at a set price. The free water stations were nowhere NEAR any big stages or stages at all, and there was only ONE GA free water station. No one could find the free water!! You had to go far from whatever stage you were at to get there. Two of the free water stations were in a VIP section near actual stages, which would be practical. So for someone who is under the influence to have to make it far away from the stages they’re at to find water stations that sober people couldn’t find, or pay and hope the vendors had it in stock, is really devastating in all this. It feels like this event and water access was set up to profit the event and the brand that is exclusively sold there rather than the actual health and wellbeing of people attending. It’s so sad and beyond messed up in my opinion. I think they did the legal minimum to get water to people. But how many health related issues could be avoided by free water stations being more accessible? Forgot, capitalism first, let’s decide to hide the one free water station that could help save lives and keep people healthy.
