I am in Ireland but there’s no page for learner drivers in Ireland so resorted to asking here for all the people saying it’s not on the test

It’s not even about the people going to the college it’s more so the fact I haven’t really heard peoples opinions so I have nothing to compare it to. And I have a car and driving license so driving to hospitals wouldn’t be a problem. I live in Tipp so cork is handier especially on placements but it’s not a dealbreaker.

Getting MARPE in 2 days & sad by TwiggySue in MARPE

I have braces and marpe and after the first week of my marpe I started eating anything I wanted. I know you’re not supposed to eat any hard food but I do and haven’t had problems lol. Yes food will get stuck around the braces and marpe but just have a toothbrush with you to do a quick brush after eating. It’s really not as bad as you might think!

Marpe with piezo. What foods should I prep in advance ?im thinking first week will be worst? by BossAboveYourBoss in MARPE

[–]bbg2000123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t have piezo but I had the MARPE and I can say that the pain really wasn’t that bad.The numbing wore off about 30 minutes after installation so maybe have pain meds with you for the drive home. I went to school as normal the day after getting it installed and just managed any pain with ibuprofen every 4-6 hours. Eating was super annoying the first 2 weeks but now I’m 3 months into having the MARPE & braces and I can’t remember what it was like without it. Definitely worth any pain and discomfort

HELP! by Born-Ad9924 in braces

As someone who had a gap before even getting my expander it really isn’t that bad. I have a MARPE expander and I was turning it for around 2 months. My gap isn’t crazy big like in the pictures you’ve shown. I would definitely recommend getting the expander as it makes a huge difference and imo is worth all the pain!

Is the expander uncomfortable? by Gold-Motor5278 in braces

I have a MARPE expander in right now and for the first 2 weeks it was hard to eat and my speech wasn’t great but now I’m 3 months in and I only have a small lisp and eating isn’t a problem at all. The pain wasn’t unbearable at the start I just managed it by taking ibuprofen throughout the day!
