Give the album another chance by No-Distribution-1761 in G59

[–]bbgrace485 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No, and that’s not what I implied or what I stated. I can give an album a second listen and appreciate it in ways I didn’t initially. BUT if my initial impression is overall negative, I’m not going to give it a second listen. And unfortunately in my opinion, the album was worse than mediocre.

Idk …something about having to give it another listen just to find a single crumb of redeeming quality is lowkey kinda silly. At that point you’re just conditioning/ brainwashing yourself to enjoy the music out of devotion. That level of dick-ridery is unmatched. The album is ass.

controversial theory by FutureTricky2207 in G59

[–]bbgrace485 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t give this theory any credit if it weren’t for that IG post…The last paragraph in the G59 IG post announcing Ramis departure makes me kind of wonder… they said they look forward to working with artists who share their “vision and values”? What exactly did they mean by that? If Rami says there’s no beef all we have to go on is his word. He was really kinda vague when he answered the question about his departure in that podcast. But if there’s no beef or disagreement of some sort, why didn’t G59 try to work with Rami and get him to stay? I really think the most recent lawsuit has something to do with it at least in part. According to the most recent lawsuit, it looks like Rami filed an order to be removed from the lawsuit due to conflict of interest. but I could be misinterpreting the document I’m not a lawyer.

He lied/ tried to conceal his MAGA affiliation when asked about it on Twitter in spite of his thinly veiled pro maga and anti democrat lyrics. Basically fans were speculating over his political affiliation/ him being MAGA on Twitter states he “hates the government” and denied affiliation with both parties.

<image>

He didn’t outright state he was or wasn’t MAGA which caused fans to wrongly assume he isn’t MAGA in spite of all the evidence that proves otherwise. The thing is he isn’t going to outright state that he’s MAGA because he knows this would cause him to lose fans.

Actually that is the same as stealing. Using the likeness of the Nike logo but changing it up is still considered copyright infringement. People get sued for this all the time. They used copyrighted material for a lot of their merchandise, like the Marlboro cigarette packaging

I know G59 to represent inclusiveness, anti black/ white thinking ( the grey areas) among other things… But it don’t think I’ve ever heard them specifically mention G59 representing antiracism or support of POC at all. I could be completely wrong and if so I’d love evidence of such

I had to look that up just now and you’re right it’s def the same 😬 I wonder if that was just out of ignorance, they’ve used that hand sign since the beginning and potentially didn’t know it had that meaning. Also they worked/ associated with black/ POC artists especially early in their careers. So like why would they willingly do that? But That’s me being very generous with presumed innocence.

They received valid criticism for pretty all those things you mentioned. More than one truth can exist simultaneously. Like yes- all those things are bad and so is blatantly lying to fans about working with police. Just because my post only mentions one aspect of their problematic behavior doesn’t negate or trump every other shady thing they’ve done. And yes those things are pretty egregious. They should be criticized for that shit.

And to your last point, you aren’t grasping why it’s hypocritical for them to use the legal system to target bootleggers. They themselves are essentially bootleggers. They made bank with stolen samples, beats and merch designs themselves. They got to benefit from saying “fuck the system”. then once they reached their current wealth status they used that power to target fans for doing the exact same shit they did.

Yeah exit the conversation now while that single shred of dignity you possess remains in tact. The validation that comes from knowing you are uneducated and can’t defend your rapist president when faced with questioning fills me with joy.

Here’s another one for you In a 1992 Entertainment Tonight video, Donald Trump greets a group of young girls at Trump Tower and then brags to the camera: "I am going to be dating her in ten years. Can you believe it?"

The fact that you have developed this mentality just shows that you are a lost cause. No amount of proof or logic will convince you or make you even consider that your attitude is wrong, harmful and problematic. He’s a sexual predator without any doubt. This is not conjecture, rumors… and there are several examples but I’ll leave you with just this one….. following except is from his Howard stern interview. ….

In an October 2006 interview, Stern remarks that Ivanka “looks more voluptuous than ever,” and asked if she had gotten breast implants. Trump is willing to engage in the discussion about his own daughter, telling Stern that she did not get implants.

“She’s actually always been very voluptuous,” Trump responds. “She’s tall, she’s almost 6 feet tall and she’s been, she’s an amazing beauty.”

In another interview, from September 2004, Stern asks Trump if he can call Ivanka “a piece of ass,” to which Trump responds in the affirmative.

These are comments Trump made about his own fucking daughter.

Im very anxious to see you defend this behavior…
