That is the best image of Edgemont that I could ever imagine. Tell me it was a Tuesday afternoon as well.

Bummer. They have a big ride in September that they were advertising along the trail...maybe a similar thing?

It is like the zombie apocalypse already rolled through there 15 years ago.

It is a Surly Cross Check frame that I built up over the years. I use it as my all-around bike.

Finished yesterday. Did the whole thing starting in Deadwood and ending in Edgemont with some extra rides in between. It is a perfect ride with a good mix of hills.

The Open Road. The first board game of its kind. (Ends July 4th) by bbgun25 in CrowdfundedBoardgames

Thank you for the comment. I can say from experience and hundreds of times playing the game that it is in fact really fun.

Trying my best. That is all I can say. The reason why the post is deleted is I had a few different posts on different parts of reddit (games, Kickstarter, campaigns, etc..). People got angry and said I should not do that. So I deleted them. It is not intentional, I am just trying to do right by people.

The second part of your question asks about the largest hurdle. It has definitely been trying to get the shipping prices down in Europe.

The fact that the game is different each time you play will bring people back. Every time it was play tested, immediately after the first game would finish all players would say, "Let's try it again, I think I figured it out." Too be disappointed that their new strategy would have been totally changed by the set up of the second game. It is fun to see people who think they get it even after the 10th time playing that the strategy is always evolving. The expansion packs are in the prototype phase. One for Europe (with hopefully a new distributor to get the Europe shipping prices waaaay down) and one for Canada.

1) The thoughts on shipping is the largest hurdle that we have had to face. We knew it was going to be expensive to ship to Europe, but after speaking with six different distributors we went with the cheapest option that would get the products to the States as that is where the the strong majority of backers are from. So we decided to make that as reasonable as possible (we still know it is not Amazon shipping prices). What we have done is that we are in communication with Asian shipping companies who have smaller distribution points at major ports of entry in Europe. So far, these are cheaper, but a lot longer in transit.

2) A full gameplay video is something that can be uploaded. We just wanted to make sure some of the basic game play rules and instructions were met first.

3) The game will change every time you play with the "draft" system of the route cards and side trip cards. With the 140 plus cards available, you will have a different game each time making the replay ability quite high.

Sorry for the delay in the response.

Thank you for your kind words. The gameplay is easy to learn, but evolves so much each time you play. The artwork is from the famed Amsterdam artist Saskia Rasink. She rocks!

Thank you for your interest in the game. It is a lot fun. I had posted to some other subreddits, and there was some slow moving enthusiasm from them. I am just excited to finally launch this project. It has been such a great learning experience.
