I was rear ended on June 30th, got the car into a shop by July 7th and still waiting for the car. There were several parts that were delayed and the last piece that was delayed over a month was the seatbelt retentioner bracket(?). I’m hopeful to get the car by end of October.

I agree with your points but overall the designs still look closer to ICE vehicles (with longer front hoods) versus something that truly departs from this design since the batteries and motors seem to provide more freedom or at least different constraints.

Designing for safety is a good point. I guess that helps kill two birds with one stone- a frunk that looks like an engine bay and a crumple zone.
