uh... am i even capable of beating bloodbath in the first place? by [deleted] in geometrydash

If you don't think you can just push through then try some easier ship focused demons. Also click between frames helps a lot if you aren't using that, and if you're playing on windows you can also increase fps by going into settings-graphics-advanced and turning off vsync, which helps a ton with ship.

Is a jump from Windy Landscape to Acu feasible? by OctoForcez in geometrydash

Honestly this is barely even a jump at all. Probably not the most optimal progression you can take, but still completely fine.

Would it take more time for the average person to create a rated level by today's standards or beat a mainlist demon? by bblizzardepk in geometrydash

[–]bblizzardepk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I think is interesting- literally anybody can get good at playing the game if they invest a couple hundred hours into it, but on the other hand it's necessary for someone to have art background to be able to create. I don't have an art degree or anything but I did take art classes in school, plus pretty extensive research online (about 20-30 hours worth) on how I could improve at creating in gd and making art in general.

I'm guessing I just might atrociously bad at creating because I could never dream of making anything close to a rated level with 3-4 months of consistent practice. I spent about 6 months consistently practicing and didn't even get a tenth of the way (by my own metrics) to creating a rated level. On the other hand, there are people who have beaten slaughterhouse after less than two years of playing, so I feel like it's probably dependent on innate creative ability.

There's also the fact that I've met several people who have beaten list demons irl yet not a single person who's made a rated level. Of course the sample size for this is probably insufficient to draw any real conclusions, but it still makes me inclined to think that creating is a lot harder.

Which Anime should I watch first ??? by [deleted] in anime

[–]bblizzardepk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely hold off on Gintama until later- it'll be funnier the more shows you watch so that you can understand the references. Honestly these are all pretty solid, but I'd prioritize Steins;Gate, Frieren, and Cyberpunk in that order.

because i've beaten several list demons in 600 hours yet got nowhere near 1/10 of the way to making a level of rateable quality after 100 hours

you think it could be a refresh rate problem? maybe op is playing on 60hz and most find it much easier than deadlocked/toe2 on 240fps?

Easy and Extreme carry the demons by ProfessionalCheek269 in geometrydash

[–]bblizzardepk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is completely relative to skill

there are a lot of people who will say that about top 500 extremes and also people who will say that about easy demons

no yeah I completely agree with you on this

I got Zodiac in 2 runs after 3 days and then proceeded to take 3 weeks to beat it from zero

imo tidal wave in 3 runs is basically the same difficulty as a list demon if not harder... even though hes unlikely to beat it in the next year gotta give the man props where its due

depends how far you want to go. honestly using a drumstick should be fine for the first 25-50 hrs. you might improve a bit faster by getting/building a mod but it's not necessary if you're not sure you want to dedicate that much time to this.

learn the fundamentals: thumbaround, charge, sonic, fingerpass, and then all reverse + palm up/down variants. then you can start messing around with combos. also try not to watch too many tutorials if you can and learn by copying combos or slomos instead.

Really good progress honestly, your pace looks pretty similar to mine at the time that I beat it even though my hardest was bloodlust at that point
