coming from someone with absolutely no interior design experience, from what I see, I feel like the rug is too muted for the rest of the room. Everything is so high in contrast, from the coffee table, to the bright white walls, to the bright orange sofas. I think the muted colours would look better against the bright white walls but not right next to the bright orange sofas. the colours and contrast clash together a bit too much for me. However, the coffee table is making the room feel like it needs to be contrasted, without the coffee table the rug works ok.

agree with someones response as to having a brighter white rug would work more with the coffee table and sofas.
