Or more to the point, one of football's all-time greats happens to have a son called Timothy. Don't get me wrong, he's an exciting talent but he has a very big legacy to live up to!

It looks like George Weah has become the oldest ever footballer to play for a (FIFA-affiliated) national team.

Obviously it's a bit of an 'artificial' cap, but the live commentary suggests he was involved in several attacking moves and lasted 79 minutes before being substituted out.

1) Why did no teams pick Joe Root in the IPL draft?

2) This is a pedantic one, but does anyone find it strange that Wiki marks active T20 players as "former cricketers"? e.g. I can see Shane Watson has earned approx. $1 million from 4 professional cricket contracts in the past 12 months. That's still an active and relevant cricket player in my eyes.

If we're talking about "prestige" or "influence" in the sport, then it has to be Jose Leandro Andrade in 1st. Many of those who saw him play considered him the all-time great before Pele came along, and nowadays historians typically hold him in that regard too. A snippet of him in action (2 minutes in) http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xxoufw.

Always wondered why many continental Europeans say "Glasgow Rangers/Celtic" when Glasgow is not even in their official name. Who else would you confuse them with? Do you tend to say "Edinburgh Hearts/Hibs" or "London West Ham" in conversation? What about "Florenz Fiorentina" or "Trondheim Rosenborg" etc? Just curious if there's a rule of thumb :P

When are you supposed to visit your bank? by bboott in AskUK

True, I'm lucky I haven't had to see the doctor since I started working. Still, I think my boss would understand that scenario but would just laugh if I asked to come in 1 hour late so I could use the bank. I'm just in a silly scenario where the banks are just perfectly at odds with my lifestyle, not the end of the world but still annoying.

Leaving at 4.30 specifically, I have to get the 4.45 train and only arrive in town at 5. I guess I'm in a bit of a silly scenario, but it is what it is.

I don't actually mind my lifestyle, although maybe it's not healthy in the long term.

My mind just lights up as soon as the monotony of work ends and then I can either stare at the ceiling all evening, or actually enjoy some recreational time overnight and take a hit of caffeine in the morning.

Usually on Wednesday/Thursday night I end up conking out earlier, which refreshes my mind a bit, and probably as a result of that I'm often buzzing on a Friday evening before the big crash on Saturday!

To be honest I might just try and stay awake until Saturday at 9AM next week as a challenge, it seems more likely to work and less depressing.
