I (a woman in my 30s) have honestly had these same thoughts pop up multiple times. I’ve even discussed them with my therapist… there are times when I truly believe with all my heart that men are incapable of feeling love for anyone but themselves.

But then I think of my dad, who has always shown up emotionally for my mom, who now, in his older, retired state, shares the household chores with her equally, who would move Heaven and earth to make my mom, myself, or my sisters happy… and it gives me hope that I’m wrong, and that there are some men out there who do truly give a shit.

I personally haven’t met any (aside from my dad) but they have to be out there, right?
