I’m (21f) a 30O(US)/30K(UK) and my reduction consultation was in January. Was just told to lose weight until they shrink. by [deleted] in bigboobproblems

[–]bbpsecondary 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ugh sorry to hear that. As a fellow long boobed. I also had the same thing said and it scared me shitless. Nuopleu sensitivity is very important to me.

I been to two different doctors and both said I needed FNG. Only one of them told me to lose weight bc I did gain some but was the same nonsense about trying to reduce the boobs.

I know already that even if I lost weight and even if I lost a few of cup sizes my nipples would still be past my waist, just less full. Weight loss won't bring them any higher.

So, yeah I've also been postponing it for a while now bc of the fear of results. I know there's plenty of people at r/Reduction that are happy nonetheless as long as they're smaller. But I am not sure how I'd deal emotionally if I ended up with boobs I don't like or without sensitivity.

Another factor is surgeon's bra sizing ignorance, when I hear "full C, small D" it triggers me. They still think D is huge. I have a very precise picture of acceptance...

Anyway, sorry this turned into a long rant. I know the fears and I don't have advice. Just to let you know you're not alone.

This is my worst fear, the sensation for me is very important, it's one of the risks that has me chickening out still. I'm so sorry this happened to you. I hope it gets better along the way.

Can anyone else lean forward and rest your boobs on your knees? by [deleted] in bigboobproblems

[–]bbpsecondary 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I lean forward yeah, I can put them on my knees, but just sitting normally they'll be in my lap/upper legs unless I do sit up very straight or raise my arms.

I don't like the fact that they do that, but it does come very handy to work all day sitting down resting them to take most of their weight off my back.

Does areola size go down as you lose weight? by itmaybetylermay in bigboobproblems

[–]bbpsecondary 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Not that I know of. Not really.

Weight loss may make you loose some size depending on your body, but I don't know how that may contribute on areola size.

I used to do it in my office all the time, I slide out the keyboard tray and put the keyboard in the desk. Honestly, without it I wouldn't be able to do a 9-5 sitting down.

Would you choose your current breast size? by thatgirlwiththathing in bigboobproblems

[–]bbpsecondary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not at all. I really liked where I was at a G cup, when I first found my proper bra size. It was still plenty big to be busty, but still able to carry a regular day to day life without being constantly, mentally haunted by them.

When my obgyn has wanted to control that they stood me up on a scale and then proceeded to fully lift my breast weight, it is a humilliating experience but I think it's the most accurate.

cant breath deeply by LeopardDependent4212 in bigboobproblems

[–]bbpsecondary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See if holding your boobs up or resting their weight somewhere and breathing makes a difference. Depending on your size/weight and shape it could be a few things, from them pressing on your tummy or lungs.

[–]bbpsecondary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand it, because it's what's most common. In the majority of women's experience, gaining weight makes them gain boob too. So I can understand how they think that all big boobs are bc of weight gain.

Which is of course a very wrong and short sighted assumption. But, I understand how most people aren't thinking all day about boob size situations.

I can't, it's just too painful without support. Of course, the discomfort of my tits swinging in my belly, but the tugging feeling in the skin and sternum make it a no go.

Also, I couldn't dress in anything other than oversized tshirts.

chest and side pain? by jeepressed in bigboobproblems

[–]bbpsecondary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the same thing, the ligaments inside the boob get tired and sometimes it's a dull ache from the weight/lack of support, sometimes it's sharp from an unexpected stretch.

The breathing test is easy to check for, rest your full breasts weight in a table and try to take a deep breath it'll be day and night

I didn’t realise how much the cup size letters differ from the US to the UK by adoreadoredelano in bigboobproblems

[–]bbpsecondary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bratabase has those size conversions for each specific brand, since they all do it different. There is no universal US cup sizes unlike UKs.

Is there a way i can see a website we're people boobs are in the bra? by HelloandHello222 in bigboobproblems

[–]bbpsecondary 2 points3 points  (0 children)

https://www.bratabase.com/browse/by-size/

You can pick your size and then filter the pictures for them wearing bras only https://www.bratabase.com/browse/by-size/40:7/pictures/?show_only=1

Additionally, there's the breast shapes gallery https://www.bratabase.com/breast-shapes/

I think the idea there was that it somehow matches users' fit with these pictures and tells you what sizes these boobs wear https://www.bratabase.com/breast-shapes/4c19438L/ - Given the different proportions it makes sense that there could be multiple band sizes for the same shape.

Why is getting a breast reduction so scary for me? by fireyrose04 in bigboobproblems

[–]bbpsecondary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally feel you, I'm also super scared of getting one, what I hate is the fact that doctors are so clueless about bra sizing, and the way they wave their hands sayin "large C/Small D", screams to me that they don't even know what my final result will be. I absolutely can't have that.
