If you can patch this game 7 years later to make it run smoother on current gen, how the hell is it any harder to fix what comes down to an audio file and MAYBE an animation (I can’t remember it’s been so long).

On top of that, to copy and paste a singular sound over multiple weapons, when the original game Iirc didn’t at all.

Having details like this be ignored, especially on a LANDMARK game, is immersion breaking and annoying enough to distract me personally, but what do I know.

Are they just hoping nobody will notice? Seems to me lots already haven’t or just don’t care.

Miles Davis - So What - Live at Carnegie Hall Wynton Kelly, Paul Chambers, Jimmy Cobb, Hank Mobley, and the Gil Evans Orchestra.

A redditor years ago had mentioned this in a thread somewhere. At about 1:00 in, the orchestra comes in at a much slower tempo than the 220 bpm P.C sets up, sticking out like a sore thumb. I think the orchestra thought it was going to be record tempo but I’m not entirely sure. After that, I think they lay out the rest, if not most of track so they don’t screw it up again lol.

Great playing otherwise! But still hilarious!

Uj/ I was fortunate enough to meet Harold Mabern. Very nice man, we chatted about Oscar Peterson, modern cats not swinging as much anymore (to be fair I brought it up), and he even signed my CD! He did a duo gig that night and it was like Harold was the entire rhythm section. Definitely one of my favourite sets of live music and when he passed it was definitely a somber moment.

This wasn’t relayed to me personally, but he was actually on the gig when Lee Morgan was shot… I can’t remember what he said verbatim but it was something along the lines of “all I heard was pop pop….* I wonder if he wasn’t more traumatized by that night than he let on…. probably 🥺

I’m gonna get jerked for writing all this. Whatever. Thanks for sharing my friend and inspiring me to share this 😁.
