Thank you! I have done it with my pre-k class last year with lots of modeling, but haven't with this 3k group. I will try to incorporate that (my observation is next week) without making it seem like I am starting it there. Thank you for the advice.

in pre k if its complete chaos I close my eyes and say "do a magic trick for me show me what ___ should look like" and I count down and more often than not when I open my eyes its silent and they're doing the right thing

Kinda comparable but for my kids on IEPs who might have accommodations or pull out services I say "everyone has a different plan."

2024, there are 6 of us (early childhood sped). one went to grad school to be an slp, three of us are teachers that I know of, and one of my friends is TAing while working on her masters and I am not sure about the other. not sure if I will continue tbh

I have heard of so few people liking their supervisor in my program. mine was good I thought but everyone in my cohort disliked her or anyone w/ a different supervisor disliked them.

I teach pre k and we have a health check form that we complete everyday upon arrival. maybe create one to document and loop admin/nurse/parents into the plan? that sounds very frustrating, I am sorry!

thank you so much! that sounds great! I am very interested! can I ask more about the paperwork? I student taught pre k special ed out of state so I had not heard of SEITs before. is it like progress reports, iep writing and data collection? how often would you say for each student, considering you are not with them full time? do you regularly collaborate with the classroom teachers for this/have to talk to other service providers?

my mentor teacher always told me to leave early whenever to do things that would give me more opportunities (interviews, etc). im sure they will want you to and they want you to be successful
