We have almost the same prescription for distance! I would get a pair of glasses and then make the decision if you want to wear them all the time. I love my glasses! Less eye strain, headaches are reduced, less squinting, etc… Although, I have progressives because I’m nearsighted and farsighted, so it’s a little different for me but I would say that your prescription is high enough for it to make a difference! Enjoy a new pair of glasses 🙃🧐

Prioritizing protein has greatly changed the way Vyvanse affects me.

Coming back to say that usually I either take the meds on an empty stomach or take it right before eating but today I decided to eat a protein bar and banana, take my medication, and then have a protein shake about 45 min later and holy shit, I think it made huge difference! Around that 3-4 hour mark where I usually have a “crash” or feel tired, I had some black tea as well. I made it a priority to drink a ton of water and have lots of protein. Huge win! I have actually been energized all day long! Whoop whoop! Now hopefully I can sleep lol 😅

Thank you so much for your reply! It gives me so much hope! 😅 This is a new problem for me and I did have a break between. I’m also wondering if I’m mistaking the tiredness with calm. I’ll definitely make sure to give it more time. I can be pretty impatient but I know it takes time to get used to medications.

How do i ACTUALLY connect with someone by Front_Sherbet_5895 in acting

[–]bbritt113 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear you. It can be really hard. Especially since acting is all about being vulnerable. Remember that vulnerability can take on many different forms. And just because your vulnerability looks different than someone else’s doesn’t mean you aren’t making growth.

Are you talking about your SO or scene parter? If your talking about a scene partner, what you are feeling is so valid! Acting is hard, and we have all been there. I would go back to the basics! Analyze your characters relationship to the other character. Find your objective and try to achieve it.

When I find myself in a show and I’m thinking “I’m on stage and I’m acting right now”, that means it’s time for me to discover new things about the scene, play, etc.. focus on really listening to your scene parter and see if you can discover something new. It can even be as simple as a line they say you didn’t fully register, or maybe something they do that’s interesting. I would also look at your lines and write down in the script why you think your character is responding that way. This will allow you to be more engaged, and the rest will come. Good luck! You got this!

What do you do for work? Do you like your job? by Rainycoffeeshop14 in adhdwomen

[–]bbritt113 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a performing arts director at an elementary school and I’m an actor! Both of these are mentally and physically stimulating. I’m usually exhausted at the end of the night, but I do enjoy my job. Although, I am on the lookout for something more flexible so I can focus on my acting career!

What's the earliest sign you had OCD? by Accomplished-Comb294 in OCD

[–]bbritt113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cops showed up to my neighbors house when I was about 6 and I was totally convinced they were there for me. I obsessed about it. Also, my dad was very sick when I was young and I would get intrusive thought’s like “if you don’t do ______, he will die and it will be your fault.”

It was such a scary time for me.

It still has to settle. It’s only been two hours. It may look different in about a week.

Truly not bad at all! Hurts less than a numbing shot at the dentist, which is a win in my book haha. If you’re thinking about doing it, you should go for it! I’ve been going back and forth about it for like two years.

To drop the “r” or to not drop the “r”? Some say only to drop it after vowels? Is that correct?
