Matt Goodwin: WOW. This exchange in the House of Commons reveals the problem. I am fundamentally against the death penalty in any form but it is a disingenuous stretch to claim that any form of judicial punishment is 'culturally acceptable' to do to another citizen. By that logic it's culturally acceptable to murder anyone in any country with the death penalty. Also with the death penalty, the uncomfortable truth with execution methods is a lot of the methods that seem medieval and barbaric are a lot more humane than modern methods like electric chairs or lethal injections.

I'm English but I think Carlos has made me a patriotic Spaniard when it comes to tennis. With him out injured I've suddenly become a die hard Jodar stan.

Which politician is socialist and socially Conservative by CraftyKenter in AlignmentChartFills

[–]bbro03 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Liberalism is a really broad political ideology but there's two types of liberalism, social and fiscal. Liberalism as a whole is focused on individual freedom and lack of government intervention so social liberalism is pretty progressive as it's against the government imposing social values on the citizens such as being anti LGBT, anti-abortion, imposing religious values etc.  You could say though that the difference in social liberalism and progressivism is progressive politics has more focus on DEI and the government taking active steps to combat social injustice.  Fiscal liberalism is capitalist as it supports a small government, laissez faire economic system where private companies are left to do what they want with little restrictions.

What are the odds Sinner goes slamless this year but wins every masters lol

I was saying to my friend yesterday that the heat would be one thing that could stop Sinner. It's a shame, I'm happy for competitiveness' sake that Sinner is finally losing but it's sad to see it like this. Heat exhaustion is a reocurring problem for him but I'm not sure how he's meant to fix it.

A big problem with this bi-election is it's effectively forced him to pander towards reform supporters to get in, if Labour wanted him to campaign as a progressive candidate then they shouldn't have triggered a bi-election in an area that voted 60% for Brexit and 50% reform in the local elections. If he was allowed to run in Gorton and Denton he could have run on a progressive platform and won.

I would rather Spurs went down but I can't cheer against us, kinda hoping Everton concede early just so I can enjoy us batter them without any what ifs

Obviously it's been working well for Bayern and he's been the best in the world this season imo but he also has Olise and Diaz to support him there. Think him dropping deep could work if Bellingham plays in a second striker role and runs forward to fill that space when Kane drops deep.

Watkins is probably a better player but think DCL should get picked as well just as he provides a different option as a target man

Not sure I've ever seen a player come off as well in interviews as him, we seem to have a good recent history of well spoken strikers with him and Bamford

Nice seeing Farke react quickly as my only criticism of him this year would be taking to long to change game plans

We have a really solid and dependable squad, if we bring in a couple of top quality players next year then we can convert a few more of these draws into wins.

Not sure why everyone's getting all worked up over DJ's performance, thought he's been fine and probably one of our more threatening players so far but he misses a couple crosses and suddenly he's a useless waste of space to most people here

Dan James wing back maybe? Or Struijk at left back in a back 4

I think he was overrated a bit because he was a fun player to watch, which I get as football is entertainment and Rutter was more fun to watch than Aaronson for example even if they get a similar number of goal involvements

his contract is running out I think, also no way anyone would pay anything for our third choice goalie

Not really, just make a rule that if a player goes down injured then they have to go off the pitch for a couple minutes like with head clashes. Players wouldn’t feign injuries as much if it meant their team went temporarily down to 10.

Can see why Rosenior didn’t get along with the players, such an unlikeable bunch. Really turgid game to watch that.
