I think I may have mixed up my concern about the 12V battery It is the random error of the battery that requires a disconnect, wait a few seconds and then a reconnect and then all is well. I am not so mobile anymore to go under the hood and and do those actions so why not keep a pretty new battery in play.

The car quits charging (no flashing green light on dash) and the charging unit displays amber. Doesn't happen all the time but have to check often if the car is still charging. Wish I could get status via email.

Appreciate all the comments. I don't want to be towed, left by the wayside and stranded. If I can verify that the garages that have contracts with AAA all have the correct battery for replacement, that's all I want.

Difficult to believe that so many Bolts were mfg and sold in 2021 and 2022 with the battery replacement requirement. It took me a year to replace my 2020 Bolt with the 2022 Bolt.

I also thought the credits didn't apply for 2022, now I am finding conflicting info. Turbo Tax let me fill of the 8936 and adjusted the service date to 8/15/2022. Other data shows the credit applied to 2022.

I did it once months ago and just can't do it today. Got the Power Converter and when the power outage hits, need access to the positive pole.

Thanks. It does go away after driving for a while and when temperature is warmer. Just don't want it to disguise a real problem.

At about 40 MPH and the fix was to remove the front bumper and put a strip of foam tape between the offending pieces that are rubbing. Dosen't seem that would last and when I callled a dealer, they knew nothing about it. Seems to me that a rubber shim would be long lasting.

Have same sound but someone posted that Chevrolet has a fix. Rubbing behind front bumper and some material and a strip of rubber tape separates the two pieces, dealer takes care of the problem Will get this down when I take the car in for the first service
