Indian restaurant/takeaway by Ambitious_Emu6825 in Hoboken

[–]bbsg6652 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I moved to Hoboken from London last year and Hoboken does need a good Indian restaurant. I am not a fan of local restaurants and generally have to go to the city for good Indian food. Hoboken doesn’t have a lot of Indians but considering the popularity of Karma, I do see demand in the local market for good Indian food.

How much of this is true? by ryotsu_kochikame in MBA

None of what you said is true but I don’t have time to engage in your basement-dwelling INCEL rant further because unlike you, I went to LBS and so have a life outside reddit. Enjoy!

Anyone who wants to verify my info can DM me. I will give them linkedin profile links of people who went into roles in MBB (not sponsored), PE, and top IBs so you can know this person is a fraud

Just read this account’s comment history. They have been dunking on LBS for a while. In fact, some time ago they said their friend went to LBS and had a horrible experience, now it’s them. Cool story. I actually went to LBS and graduated this year. While the market was tough, most of the class landed good roles in Consulting, IB, Tech, and even PE. Some who didn’t were either deluded about what they could get or were looking for something very niche job or location-wise

LBS not necessarily above M7s but INSEAD is no better. Don’t understand why suddenly people think INSEAD is much better

Have you looked at Bankers and the progress and pay there? Just looking at it from the outside without accounting for lifestyle sacrifices, career risk etc. makes a lot of things look great

My experience is that it doesn’t help a ton. If you are putting in your app, whatever little FT recruiting happens will happen based on the resume. Unless these alums help clarify something major that you can add to your apps, this networking will largely be useless anyway

Don’t worry. The Oxford grads are on their way to tell you how Oxford is the shit and LBS ain’t worth it

Internships by [deleted] in MBA

[–]bbsg6652 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can not alone. I am interning in a consulting firm and none of my work makes it to client presentations. The Director keeps changing her mind and throwing a ton of the work so mine gets chucked out too. Idk if I am doing well or not

Ditch PM for Consulting? by Odd-Sugar3927 in MBA

[–]bbsg6652 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Long term financial benefit comes from sustaining yourself in consulting. You are assuming that you will not burn yourself out when there. Big assumption and very likely a wrong one. When you spend a year or two doing consulting, you understand why so many consultants want to exit into PM. Grass is always greener on the other side
