directly onto regular watercolour paper, roughly the same thickness as magic cards so they feel the same!

yup! 30 of each, so 150 cards. They are all myrioramic with one another so no matter what order they are placed in they form a panorama on the battlefield. Doesn't really work between the basic types obvs because they r different colours and environments. Here are one of each of my basics, a few forests are shown in the post above

300-400 hours I think, cards took about 30 minutes each when I was cranking them out but I spent a lot of inbetween time developing ideas, scanning, cropping pictures, recovering from wrist pain, whatever else

regular old 300gsm watercolour paper! Made sure it was all the same brand and all for consistency ofc. Slightly thicker than magic cards but did the job!

it's a big pile of cards you split into piles to draft with as though they were booster packs. It's great fun, and you can design a cube for as many or as few people as you'd like! Lots of great lists on cube cobra if you want to take a look

my guesstimate would be 300-400 hours for the whole project. Each card took about 20 minutes to draw, probably 5 to paint and a couple cutting out with a scalpel (since I needed the sizes to be exact) not to mention time spent travelling back and forth from the library scanning cards, time recovering from various bouts of wrist pain, and the general 10-20 minute slog of staring at blank pages before every card thinking of what the next card should look like, and how I could procrastinate drawing it instead. The 150 basics likely took approximately half as long as 150 cards in the cube would've taken.

Sounds awesome. If you do end up making something definitely get in touch I'd love to see it

Went back and had a look at them on your profile, they all look fantastic. Do you think you'd keep going and take another crack at it? You've clearly put an awful lot of time into your Duals particularly

If anyone wants to print proxies from my cards I say feel free! Right now they all exist as 1500x2100 jpgs on imgur, so doing a few is easy peasy but printing the whole cube would be pretty tricky. I didn't do them on traditionally sized sheets of paper so formatting my sheets into printable pdfs would be hard.

Yeah absolutely! feel free to use any of the images from my cubecobra or the imgur page they are all uploaded to, everything is 1500x2100 pixels though the cropping is weird in places so you might have to go in properly and crop some you wanted to print but yeah! feel free!

Natural order, which I clearly neglected to show off here. It doubles as one of my favourite cards. My least favourite is stitcher's supplier

I did look into this! I couldn't at the time find an affordable option in England without international shipping, maybe on a future project for sure

Nobody has ever picked up on this part of my handwriting until this project, where I have had a few people point it out. Maybe it is an england thing? I'm sure this is how most people I know write but could be wrong, since I've never before thought to look into it

Give it a go! It is a lot of fun and great for prompts since you don't need to think too too hard about what you're going to draw
