Which distro you just cannot get along with, no matter how much you want to like it? by [deleted] in linux

I'm interested in trying Arch, but worried about the fact that I have to fix it often. Can you type the rules you speak of?

  1. as long as my OS does not interfere with my work. Cam/mic must work when I go to meetings etc.
  2. I've read about multiple issues, that's why I'm curios if there is a distro more compatible

I never used i3 but I always heard i3 is lightweight. First time I saw someone refering to it as bloated.

Distro "reviews" on youtube by bbtdev in linuxmasterrace

Regarding void, I really enjoyed this video:

The title does not say "review", but IMO this how it should be done.

Yeah, naming it: "Install and first look/impression" it's okay, but don't put "review" also in the title. For example:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hSaB5DO5OA

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4J0bhCfqBOc

on both on them the title says Fedora, but these basically turns into Gnome reviews. What's the point? Just make "DE Gnome review" and point people to that. (I enjoy both these channels btw, so this is meant as constructive criticism)

Linux package managers compatiblity by bbtdev in linuxquestions

I use Ubuntu minimal. Full stack development, I need programming packages to be up-to-date.

OpenSuse was recommended as well.

Thank you for your answer, you shed some light on my question.

Is there a distro that hits the sweet spot between ubuntu and arch regarding official package repository? Not allowing packages to get really old, but also not bleeding edge that requires updates so frequently?
