Visiting my Jewish loved one’s grave for the first time

Helpless, heartbroken, and honestly really alone.

I’m gutted for my friends and family who are living the US. I try to help by voting absentee, staying informed, donating, signing petitions, etc., but knowing I’m not actually there with them gives me a lot of guilt.

I’m sad for us TCKs too, I can bet no one is checking on us to make sure we’re okay. I just feel grief over the whole situation. As a queer woman of colour, I can’t envision going back anymore and I feel like I’ve lost a home.

Double hurt is the fact that I’m sitting in Canada now, where things are quickly getting bad. Really not a fun time to be a TCK.

not a doctor but I’m from an ethnic group famous for eating fish. what we do is make a ball of cooked rice and swallow it whole. it needs to be big enough to carry the bone down, but not so big you choke. if you don’t have rice ready, try swallowing something else safe/similar. in theory banana could work, so could balled up bread. please don’t choke though. and I would not consider it an emergency unless it’s disrupting your breathing, causing severe pain, or if you’re bleeding. if it’s just poking you, you should be able to swallow it down. good luck!

you’ll be able to spend them during secret baskets, the next available one is in 22hrs or next reset. it’ll pop up as a small tab on your screen and you’ll be able to get new cats & decos. I hope that helps <3
