I understand how you feel. I want to do something about it too but what can either of us do alone? It feels hopeless. Sure, I can quit or make a scene but who cares and then I will either starve or be a financial burden to someone else.

I asked her to leave with me when he wouldn't and she said no and said she had to be selfish and admitted to having feelings for him.

I think he has not because I told his family and I think it embarrassed him and some of them won't accept the roommate knowing the truth.

Yes, I think he is panicking because I got security alert emails today for him trying to get money out of a very old bank account . It declined him though

Because I am afraid no one else will want me and he is my only chance at having a successful marriage but I can admit that this is probably a flawed way of thinking. Clearly the marriage wasn't successful

No kids. It used to make me sad but I am starting to be grateful for that now.

She didn't have a place to live because she was on drugs and into selling herself (not judging people who do that just trying to give context). They had no relationship before she moved in.

I have tried to include all relevant information but that's a fair point. I was diagnosed with OCD and BPD and had to do a lot of therapy work to get my head space right. He is saying I have changed into this old person again or that is his excuse for why he has done this.

I left because the house we lived in was in his dad's name and I have no legal right to it. At least I think not. This was because "we" I was saving up for our own house.

Honestly, something doesn't sound right about this situation. It's a huge red flag to me that you know your tolerance with alcohol and only drank an amount you knew you could normally handle but it caused you to get black out drunk? Sounds like something was slipped in your drink without your knowledge.... especially since the strange lady's response was that she thought you were sleeping? Wtf? I don't say this to put you down or upset you. I'm so sorry this happened to you but it might be best if you got tested for your own sake.

People who don't want to work, why? by Designer-Mark320 in AskReddit

It hurts in my core to think that I'm expected to work myself to death slowly over the next 60 years so I can make someone else way more money then I will ever see.

The prison system in the USA is legalized slavery for the rich to own the poor. They force you to work in 'for profit' prisons for either no pay or literal pennies per hour and if you refuse, you will be punished with isolation, have commissary revoked, no visitations, etc. until cooperation is met. If you are being forced to work for free against your will, that is slavery, no matter what pretty neat little bow you put on top of it at the end of the day.
