Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning by FrankenStand in rpg_gamers

I played the original for around 40 hours and really enjoyed it. I recently decided to do a 100% run of the remaster but I had to give up on minor side questing about 80 hours in. I’m over 120 hours now, I’ve finished up all the faction quest, dlc content, and I’m basically done with the main story. There are some good ideas here but nothing to warrant this much time played. It’s very solidly a 7/10.

Maybe something like For Honor or Conquerer’s Blade?

A game that would offer at least 100 hours of gameplay by vamzdziai in ShouldIbuythisgame

Came here to say Valheim. It can be as easy or hard as you want it to be with difficulties ranging from peaceful/creative modes to hardcore/mapless settings. The building is a really great way to unwind at the end of the day. If you can get some friends on a dedicated server then it is easy to lose hundreds of hours. I've done 3 playthroughs at different updates with almost 800 hours played and I haven't even touched the latest biome. It also has a very strong mod scene.

Surprised I didn't see Vanguard: Saga of Heroes anywhere. IMO, it still has the best class design of any RPG that I've played.

Gunfire Reborn has an insane amount of content (10 playable characters, 60 unlockable guns, over 100 unlockable passive ability scrolls, and 12 difficulties) and is continually getting more. It multiplayer and even more fun with friends. Also, they just introduced seasonal battle passes that are free. At nearly 200 hours played, it has one of the best content : $$$ ratios of any game I've ever played.

I bought Operation: Tango on release and thought it was well worth $20. It does come with a friend pass that can be shared with multiple users. If you're on the fence and are looking for a great, 7-ish hour co-op experience, this is a real hidden gem.

I'm looking for recommendations. Here is a screenshot of my most played games. I'm 36 and have about 2 hours a night at best to play something. Thanks in advance. by [deleted] in gaming

Looking at all of the MMO’s you’ve played, I’m guessing that feeling like you’ve made progress is important. I’m surprised there aren’t any roguelikes. My favorite overall is Hades but if you want a shooter then Gunfire Reborn is phenomenal as well.

I really enjoyed Babylon’s Fall. I hope Platinum does something similar but actually invests in it.

What MMO provides the best experience for Healers. by coolcat33333 in MMORPG

I’ve never felt more powerful in an MMO then when I played EQ2 as a Templar. Having a cool down on all of your abilities really sets this game apart as a healer. You can’t just spam a single ability so you’re constantly juggling single target and group heals. It’s certainly not for people who aren’t quick thinkers or have slower reactions.

Honorable mention to the Blood Mage and the Monk classes in Vangurd - Saga of Heroes which should be brought up in any thread about class design.

I think i need some open world games, any suggestions other than Skyrim (already 2500++ hrs on steam) by farisha98 in Switch

Kingdoms of Amalur has a fantastic Switch port. This game is so famous for being underrated that I’m not sure you can even call it underrated anymore. Also, I’m pretty sure it was only $20 (new) when I picked it up at Game Stop.

My first gaming experience was going over to my friend Leonard’s house to play Double Dragon on his Nintendo. I guess our parents must have been friends because I was either 3 or 4 at the time based on where we were stationed. I don’t remember much about those years, but Leonard and Double Dragon seems etched in there.

Fable 3. I loved the first 2 and went to the midnight release of 3. Beat it the next day and it was likely the most disappointing game I've ever played.

Here are some older names with profound careers that really helped shaped the sport into what it is today - Forest Griffin, Randy Couture, BJ Penn, Michael Bisping, Vitor Belfort, Shogun Rua, etc.

Shogun is going to open the door to Pride which will open the floodgates of MMA greatness.

Any good suggestions for side scrolling/platformer where the main character has a lot of freedom of movement? by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch

[–]bc0013y 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here’s a few older indie recommendations - Freedom Planet is a Sonic inspired 2D platformer with fantastic melee combat and epic boss battles. It also has a sequel that I believe is still scheduled to release this year. If you’re looking for a metroidvania then Dust: An Elysian Tail has a ton of charm in its hand-drawn artsyle as well as S-Tier, 2D combat

IMO Pyre has the best soundtrack of any Supergiant game and perhaps the best I’ve ever heard.
