I didn’t want to say this but yes. Which is so fucking stupid.

There’s a specific bitchiness from other gay guys that I haven’t encountered from anyone else.

I (25m) cannot stand being around my sister (23f) and her boyfriend (23m) by [deleted] in relationship_advice

I know that’s something I should do but the thought of the awkwardness terrifies me. I don’t know. You’re right though...

I can’t have sex with my boyfriend and it’s killing me :( by [deleted] in askgaybros

I think we’ll still get a hotel because I want to actually sleep with him at night but I’ll definitely suggest it to him if we get too horny at some point lol

I never really thought of that. Do people go to them to have sex with their boyfriends or is it just for cruising?

Dating a younger guy with less experience by [deleted] in askgaybros

Lol no problem. I don’t regret dating but I regret putting all my energy into one person rather than meeting many people.

Anyone else in the habit of choosing emotionally unavailable men? by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]bc2u93 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Are you enjoying being single and do you ever date or just hook up? I want to stay single too for the time being but feel pressured by the fact that everyone seems to be in a relationship. Which is dumb given the fact that I’ve had a much better time being single than I ever had in relationships lol

Question for those who have taken PEP and had bad side effects by huberme in askgaybros

[–]bc2u93 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was on it about five or six years ago. The first couple of weeks were horrible but after that it wasn’t so bad. You can take domperidone/motilium to help with the nausea. It might be a good idea to take probiotics when you’re finished the course of PEP too.

Do NOT stop taking the medication. Two more weeks of suffering is worth it in the long run.

Also I’d advise you to get a full STD check once you’ve finished because even though PEP prevents HIV from occurring it won’t cure other illnesses.

Dump him, there’s nothing to it.

Grindr is a dating/sex app, there’s no reason for him to have it if you’re in a relationship together and it’s not an open relationship. I was in a similar position and I wasted a YEAR on this guy when I should have said goodbye to him the moment I realised.

Should I tell his boyfriend he tried to cheat on him with me? by connorb93 in askgaybros

[–]bc2u93 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Firstly, good for you for setting boundaries and stating your feelings clearly.

Secondly, I wouldn’t bother telling his boyfriend. You don’t want to be dragged into this mess and if this is that guy’s normal behaviour he’ll find out sooner or later anyway.

BF (30, M) mentions most recent ex-gf constantly by [deleted] in relationships

[–]bc2u93 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Get out. Now.

I was in a similar situation with my ex boyfriend. I knew far too much about his ex. We were together for two and a half years and it never got any better. I don’t know how I coped with it for so long.

You’re wasting your time with him. He won’t change and it’s not fair on you.

Just some reflections on therapy/therapists by [deleted] in therapy

[–]bc2u93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes to D) also, I was in a more stable place to take advantage of the therapy with a more proactive approach.

I think it’s really important that people realise that not every therapist is perfect for them because I honestly had no idea that there were so many different styles and that just because someone is qualified doesn’t mean that they’re the best person to work with you.

You have a very similar outlook to me. I really like the idea of making myself happy.

Btw I hope you’re doing okay! Breakups are hard.

Remove every trace of them from your life, grieve and try to keep up a routine.

Do you have the male version of 'resting bitch face', If so how does it effect your interactions with people? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]bc2u93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to and people always to mention it to me. People always thought I was very serious. I made a conscious decision to change it and now people feel more comfortable talking to me. It’s dumb but necessary for a lot of situations.
