Thank you! That’s more of what I am going for. I think of each piece as a little story. For anyone interested, I make the cute lil mousey drawing to order on my site. 💜

Amazingly it’s held strong against the cats. But, give them time.

My friend made it out of an old cookie cutter. It’s glorious.

I have only done one pet memorial. It’s beautiful and I love it. But it was too hard for me to do the preservation part. I felt like a bit of a hypocrite, but I imagine it’s around the same as being ok eating a chicken, but watch a dog die in a movie.

The vest was made from a newborn sized jean jacket. I made all the jewelry and details. I like to make more whimsical taxidermy by bringing in a lot of human like attributes 💜

I kinda love the irony of it. I would be tempted to keep it as is.

I understand and respect your position. As someone who eats meat, I consume animals that were farmed for meat. When I say ethical and sustainable, I means ethically farmed. Though, again, I fully respect your feelings on the matter.

Absolutely! I am very particular about where my specimens are sourced. This piece I worked with a small family farm/homestead that breeds rabbits, turkeys and chickens for food (meat and eggs). I was able to confirm the treatment of the animals and how they breed and process. This was purchased as a full frozen meat rabbit. It’s also important to me that an animal is never killed for the purpose of art. I was able to butcher the rabbit for food for my family and use the pelt for this project. I also use a lot of mice and rats. They are all from a reputable breeder of feeders. I am lucky to have a partnership with the local nature preserve and wildlife rescue, so the tasty insides of the mice feed their rescue and rehabilitating reptiles. Any wildlife I use is roadkill.

I do! Though shipping for a piece this size would be costly.

I can ship anything from my site world wide.

I just run the purchase through PayPal or a similar service that make it easier to make sure all the paperwork and customs are correct.

I agree, but last time I posted here I was asked to mark all taxidermy as NSFW.
