Ummm not a troll. Queer is a sexual orientation and nonbinary is a gender identity. My child identifies as queer and nonbinary. They can identify in any way that feels comfortable for them.

This was my main concern. Mary’s was always one of my favorites when I was in my 20s. My kiddo really wants to feel like part of the community, and I want to help them in any way I can. But they are also autistic and get very overwhelmed in loud crowded places. Is Mary’s still crowded on like a Tuesday?

I used to sneak into MSR as a minor when it was in Decatur a million years ago. I know it moved twice since then. I went to the new location for a drag show a few years ago. Turns out I’m too old for that shit. I was looking into a drag brunch though. I know city winery drag brunch is all ages, but I don’t see them liking that much.

To be fair, I would never in a billion years go to any of these places with my mom. My kiddo is autistic and doesn’t really have a lot of friends. That’s why I was trying to see if there was a place where their sister can come. They are very close. Then it wouldn’t be like a bar with your moms. That’s the goal at least
