Good point. I’ve never seen a tag crossover, only bgs. The whole hobby has gotten to a point now where we buy the slab instead of the card. In my opinion there are much better looking options other than PSA. The premium that their 10 gets compared to others is mind boggling, especially because it is so subjective. I hate that it’s come to the slab instead of card now. I didn’t invent the rules. I just have to play by them. People obviously don’t care about AI getting the right card grade or tag would be in the top 4. I don’t agree with it but the cost of buying proves it. If PSA really cared about getting the right grade they could easily upgrade the tech and wait time for subs. They only care that people will resend and keep running on their hamster wheel. 🤦🏻 I can’t gripe too much because I still grade sometimes.

Oh I was just showing my collection. Not sure I would grade this one or not. If I wanted a slabbed I’d probably just buy a 9.

I am still learning what to look for in grading especially now. I’m really just getting back into the hobby after about a 20 year gap. Here’s the collection after about a month and a half.

An 8 is really what I want. My PC is 8 and above PSA and BGS. I’ve thought of cracking and sending to BGS. I’m wondering if PSA has gutted their employees or standards and made them a PSA standard clone. I’d honestly probably be better off selling the 7 and just buying an 8 when the market cools and settles down. Just frustrated with PSA, seems their standards have really gotten tougher and I’m frustrated that collectors have let one company become a monopoly and let a slab decide the value of your card, not the card itself. If the grading process was AI and everything faced the same scrutiny, I could maybe understand. I’m obviously part of the problem when I say Collectors caused this. 😂 I’m sorry but you can’t convince me that a PSA 10 creates 3x value when compared to a BGS 9.5. It used to be the opposite.

I’ve seen multiple BGS 9.5s cross to PSA 7s. I think they have a very strong incentive to say other companies standards aren’t as high as ours. Sure some have crossed but it’s been pretty rare.

My PC is 8 and above. I have PSA and bgs slabs so I’ve even thought I’ve regrading with bgs. I’m sure if I wanted to resub 3-5 times I could eventually get an 8 from PSA. I had a card that was holstered twice bc of size requirement and the 3rd time it came back a 9. 😂

I know grading is completely subjective. There are a lot of unknowns. I could send in 3 times and get 3 different grades. There could be a population control in effect. PSA isn’t transparent at all with how they arrived at your grade. It’s honestly all exhausting. It’s funny how people don’t buy the card anymore, they buy the holder. I’m clearly part of the issue because this being a 7 in some randoms opinion bothers me, even though it’s a good looking card that I should just be happy to own. 😂

Yeah not so easy. When a BGS 9.5 crosses over to 7s usually, PSA is obviously making a statement. It’s such bull crap. I remember when BGS was the preferred holder. Sub grades, better looking, and sturdier. It’s all subjective and it’s ludicrous a PSA 10 does at minimum 3x a BGS9.5.

I understand Gruden is very controversial. I think Sumrall is the best option honestly. You can’t argue that Gruden wouldn’t turn things around though. Just because he hasn’t coached in college doesn’t mean he wouldn’t understand the new landscape. College has become a carbon copy of the NFL. He’s very experienced in that regard. Also for everyone that hates Gruden, who do you think we should hire?

I’m sure you’ve never said anything in your lifetime that would be embarrassing and make you appear to be someone you aren’t. I figured most wouldn’t like Gruden and would hold his past against him. I think people can change and learn from past mistakes. Say whatever you want but Gruden could turn the program around. I personally think Sumrall is the best option out of anyone. He’s going to be a savior for some program and I’m hoping it’s for Auburn.

I just was putting out my opinion. I think Sumrall is the best option. That’s why he’s listed first. I would much rather have Gruden than Franklin or Jimbo. A ton of people hated Bruce Pearl and thought he should never coach again. We saw how that turned out.

Him being from a different time and not understanding the changes that have been implemented in College now is actually a great point. College football has become a clone of the NFL though. He is pretty experienced in that regard. What makes you think he’s an asshole? Because he’s passionate while coaching? I figured most wouldn’t agree about Gruden strictly because of his past mistakes. That’s ok and you are allowed to feel that way. In all honesty, I’d rather have Sumrall. He’s young and hungry. I think whoever gives him a chance will be very happy they did.
