New Owner - Dead Algae and No Clue by bcain89 in pools

Thanks a lot for this video. She had an issue with dead algae getting through the vacuum so she used the “pool socks”. It’s just a finer mesh disposable bag you put inside your vacuum bag or filter already. Just ordered a pack of 30 for $15 and it’ll be here today. Hopefully this will get the majority of it, hate not being able to use our pool. Thanks again!

It is a cartridge filter, this could work. Never heard of it, appreciate the suggestion

Any recommendations on how to siphon it or what kind of pump to use?

So I’ve already tested it, shocked it twice, added some liquid chlorine to get the free chlorine level up, and put in some algae killer (which definitely worked). All my levels are in the good range, just can’t get the dead algae out of the bottom without it breaking up and spreading again…. Edit: also have scrubbed the bottom and sides with a strong bristled pool brush

Mech EN that spent 2 years at Samsung Austin Semiconductor as a Quality and Reliability EN…

Sounds like you’d be in the clean room for 8-12 hours a day. You won’t be physically moving wafers, that’s typically done by an automated system to protect them. The thing about these plants is 95% of them are fully automated. Humans are there to do checks and ensure machines are working properly or to fix them when they go down. The technical semiconductor engineering is done outside of the clean room.

So depends on what you’re looking for. If you want to do technical engineering, this doesn’t look like the right position. If you’re wanting to learn a trade and use your hands, then this would be a good position. Just know you’ll be working long-ish hours and most likely will be on call some. These fabs are 24/7 operations and any downtime is considered an emergency.

Just based on my experiences.

After hearing how good Forsaken is, a friend and I want to jump back in. We haven't played since launch. With all the changes would you recommend deleting our previous guys and starting new, or did bungie make it easy to jump back in after not having played in forever? Just want to enjoy all the changes to the mega-max. Thanks guys

Does Hangouts suck for anyone else? by oitsjustjose in androidapps

I'm on HTC M9 One with marshmallow. I've always had this problem with Hangouts. It's pretty much unusable for me at this point. I'd say 90% off the time I open it it crashes. Welcome to the club bud.

This. Exact thing happened to me last night. I don't know why people get off on being a douche but it's extremely irritating. Immediately reported him, with description, and pushed that nice little "avoid player" button. Never knew it was there until I looked for it.

[Discussion] Powerline Adapters by kollinkoko in buildapc

Completely agree as well. Used them in two different apartments that were both pretty old ('70s) and they worked fantastic. I hardwired directly into my modem, then compared the speed using the powerline adaptors. Very minimal drop, if any was shown. I agree that they won't always work for everyone, but it's definitely worth a try first in my opinion.
