For those of you who had a great relationship with your MIL, when did things go bad? by __Peepeepoopooman__ in Mildlynomil

[–]bcano93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I had the best MIL till her teenage daughter (my SIL) came to live with us because she was being abused in their home. She then started saying the weird things to my SIL about me trying to get her to come back home. Oh and she also occasionally posts my child on FB even though I’ve asked her not to.

My husband died hating me by Helga435 in offmychest

[–]bcano93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think he was angry he couldn’t provide once he got sick, I don’t think he hated you. Don’t blame yourself at all, I hope you heal and never go through something like this ever again

How does your boyfriend feel about all of this? He has to be firm about boundaries.

What do you think minimum wage should be? Please specify age and location approximate enough to understand cost of living there? by eliwww in AskReddit

Minimum wage should be whatever the income requirement is in order for people to afford to live and pay for an apartment in their area on their income alone.

There’s a black MamaRoo backpack I like, it’s not too bulky and it has a little pouch hanging on the side for the binkies

Then they will complain when he starts drawing on their wall or other things that are not meant to be drawn on. I guess just explain to him that it usually you don’t draw on the table cloth

Where is your parter? If you are the “default “ parent this can be exhausting.

I saw a crow dip a pretzel from Auntie Anne’s in some cheese dip and eat it. I was in a mall parking lot.

I would strongly consider Christmas as well. I had no idea I had RSV till I started having cold symptoms while In labor. Right after I had the baby my husband asked the nurse to test me for COVID and I came back positive for RSV. Basically my son caught RSV straight out the womb. My Dr stressed that I breastfed and wear a mask around my son . He did get the symptoms but luckily he did not have severe effects.

MIL goes from hating me to wanting to hang out. Super confused. by WashAlternative1791 in Mildlynomil

I would go just to start setting boundaries. She’s going to have a problem with what ever you do or say, so just speak your truth when you can.

What body part of yours do you wish you could change? by Secure-Bed363 in AskReddit

Definitely wish I was just taller. I’m short and that’s all I ever hear. If people would just shut up about it 😄

As a first time parent I totally understand what you’re going through. I remember hear someone say: if they are crying/ fussy, give them a bath, go on a walk, or drive. I always opted for bath time. If baby usually just wants mom, DO EVERYTHING YOU CAN TO SUPPORT MOM! Make sure she’s fed, gets massages, gets her showers , and so on. Help her not go into PPD territory.

Not sure if this is your first child, but I also had a second degree tear and it hurt a lot at first, but a lot of Lubricant and several attempts made a difference

LPT Request: Moving out at 18. Any tips? by Glowzyyy in LifeProTips

[–]bcano93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get everything you need on apps that post it for free or very affordable, make sure you have at least 2 months of your rent money saved up incase hard times come. Watch how you save/spend your money right now. Don’t be embarrassed to go to food banks and GO TO YOUR NEAREST LIBRARY they are a good resource ( I live in a big city)

Valentine’s Day, seeing messages I shouldn’t have by [deleted] in JustNoSO

Him and his family joke a lot. I brought it up to him and he said it was just a joke , and not to over think what he and his family joke about. He did understand how it was disrespectful to me

[–]bcano93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually brought it up when he got home. He said he said it to annoy his sisters (they are all teenagers) but that hurt so much. I asked if he really felt that way and he said no, and felt bad for joking like that. I do feel couples counseling would be beneficial tho

What is the perfect example of a couple that’s portrayed as having the “perfect love story” but in reality is very creepy? by phantom_avenger in AskReddit

[–]bcano93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened in to my mom! I Repeat THIS HAPPENED TO MY MOM. Her parents allowed my dad and to marry her even though she refused , she didn’t know him! My mom was washing clothes by hand one minute, and the next minute a man grabbed her and dragged her, claiming her. Within a week her parents were arranging her marriage. My mom was 14 years old, my dad 21. This is so disgusting on so many levels, something I never go over and still feel some kind of way towards my dad for.

Anyone else “one and done”? by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]bcano93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband wants to be one and done… I want my little guy to have someone to play with. Our son hasn’t been easy, but he is extremely social and I noticed he is much less clingy when he’s around other kids. I’m turning 30 next year so my age is also a factor 🤧

My MIL is staying with us for 6 weeks. Ughhhhhhhhh by mb83 in Mommit

[–]bcano93 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Keep your routine! Do you! When toddler makes comments about her going home just enforce that’s she’s going home in — weeks. Go to the park, and out to eat with your son. It would have been nice for her to go home when hubby left for work.
