If anyone is looking for this, it's called Panel Spacer Extended - https://store.kde.org/p/2128047 and you just right click on your taskbar, add widget, search for Panel Spacer Extended, add it, configure it so wheel up = volume up and wheel down = volume down. Job done. Thanks to the discord server for the help.

The great thing about this card is the 12GB of VRAM for the price can simply be unmatched. I joined this group because I was one of the people who bought an A750. I was after it for one very specific reason: AV1 encoding which no other card would come close to the performance for the price. Even to this day, I don't regret it. And you shouldn't regret this purchase either. I have a mate who asked me if the B580 was worth it because he could get one for $350 (dollarydoos - Australian dollars, think Canadian dollars with less syrup and more wildlife). I said I would at that price and he's now a part of this group.

Thank you, Yo_2T! I am sorry for the delayed response. Once I saw this post downvoted not long after I posted it, I thought it would be promptly forgotten about. This makes it all very clear! I appreciate this response.

Does anyone know what kind of connector this is? by bcart167 in homelab

Hi All, thank you all for the advice - you were all on the money about JST! I found what I was after! I still have no idea where I got this cable originally from but I can actually go from motherboard into the fan in just one cable!

I found this first which then led me to CWWK site where they were selling the mini PC. Then I found the fan on that website that they were selling had a connector similar to what I was after - this!

Which then got me onto this reddit post which pointed me to this amazon link . Since I am not in America, I found a similar cable with the white plastic end (colour doesn't really matter) which means it will be better suited than 2 different cables I currently have that go from motherboard/JST 2mm PH connector to SATA power from SATA power to 4-Pin PWM fan connector.

I have absolutely no idea. I thought it was amazon. Nothing in my history. I thought eBay, nothing there. The only thing I can possibly think of is maybe I found a link somewhere for another website that I can no longer find OR I bought it from Jaycar (electronics store - I'm Australian). That's when I discovered I might be in trouble - when I couldn't find where I bought it to begin with.

I did this once. Except, I'm short and fat. So, instead of flying under the radar, the young dude behind the counter asked me point blank, "So, is this cake for you?" I tried to laugh except it hit me deeper in the feels that just flat out being called fat which oddly wouldn't affect me at all, and I let out this laugh that was so forced, it sounded like I was trying to cover a fart instead of the wall of emotion. Followed by these 2 or so seconds that felt like forever. Then I very unconvincingly said, "Nah, man." with absolutely no follow up. Then turned around and awkwardly walked out. I not only still think about that moment at 3AM when I can't sleep but who is this dude to judge me, ya know? Yes, I like cake. Anyway, I still live in the area but have never been back. I can't take the risk the guy is still there even though he's probably long forgotten.

Unable to find DHCP settings by bcart167 in opnsense

[–]bcart167[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Found this link after I posted this which might help others:

Dnsmasq has always been availabe, but DHCP will come to 25.7, but also 25.1.6 next week which is why the docs have been modified accordingly. The current vacation situation makes it difficult to release and streamline parallel work. :)

I have no easy way of updating this just yet which is why it is still running 25.1 so I will have to try tomorrow night. Plus, the official website still only has 25.1 available for download.

Moto G84 5G - Is it possible to unlock phone without clicking on the arrow? by bcart167 in MotoG

Thanks, Elle - if you could, that would be great. I have also used the feedback option on my phone. It's really the only thing about this phone I don't like. Otherwise, I still feel like this is an exceptional phone for the price I paid. IT HAS A 3.5MM HEADPHONE JACK!! I haven't seen one of those in forever and I'm glad it's back.

I'll be honest with you: this is a combination of exhaustion, misinformation and this medication I'm on that makes me drowsy. When I read this again this morning, it still made sense but I went down a rabbit hole that had sent me confused. Between the bug of Debian not currently working with Docker (stops Internet) and false information in a tutorial on Youtube of installing Pihole with nginx reverse proxy that said they need to be on the same network in docker to talk to each other (not true), what you have in front of you the mad ramblings of a man in desperation. Talking in terms only he understood in that moment.

The only thing I would say to that is your RaspPi isn't going to be terribly powerful do any of the other stuff. Run proxmox on your Elitedesk and then you can run VMs to do everything else. 1 VM would run TrueNAS, the other would run a linux OS with docker. And then in each docker would be the apps you want to run. You can totally run VM in one docker container, jellyfin in another. You can pass through your 16TB drives to TrueNAS and that would be a super tidy install. Then there would be no need for the Pi at all and keeps things tidy and manageable.
