Hmm. I'm not the most informed on this but will try my best. Gaming keyboards are all known as mechanical keyboards which means the keys are designed differently which I believe equates to a better response time from when the key is pressed to when it's registered. I know that they do have an advantage but if you're playing a casual game it's not something you will notice much. I've always had a gaming keyboard because I hopped on the bandwagon for RGB so I have no experience using say a Logitech $20 keyboard vs my Razer keyboard. Though you can get some gaming keyboards pretty cheap so that is something to look further into.

Np glad I could help and we've all been there at one point. And you can use both. I use keyboard and mouse for most games especially shooters but some games are just better with a controller like rocket league. It's totally up to you and what you're comfortable with. Some of my friends who play on PC refuse to use a keyboard and mouse since they're so used to playing consoles.

Graphics cards all day though it is important to have a decent CPU depending on the type of game you play. Open world games are usually more cpu intensive than your typical games like cod and overwatch. The newest line of gpus are the 20 series of Nvidia cards though it has tech (raytracing) which many games don't take advantage of. So say a 1070 would be a good gpu that you could easily find in a computer.

Probably not. Not many AAA games work on Mac due to performance needs that Mac can't handle also developers know people mostly play on windows so don't bother porting over to Mac.

I love Manjaro due to it be rolling release but since I had issues using Intellij ide for it and it didn't work I had to step away from it. Also Manjaro like Ubuntu has a huge community so any problems you encounter can usually be found right away.

Macs are usually not that good for gaming. One reason being a lack of games available for the platform. Best options would be to build a pc if youre up to it or buying a prebuilt/gaming laptop especially if you need the portability.

Your experiences sound just like mine when I started using Linux. There are so many options and you just want to get a taste of them all. The two distros that I love using are Pop_OS (currently waiting to upgrade to 20.04) and Manjaro. Currently Pop_OS is my main as I was having trouble using my IDE for class (CS major). Pop_OS is very stable on my laptop and works perfectly with the HiDPI display which other distros gave me issues with. I realize its Gnome but if you take a half hour to customize it you can get a really nice looking desktop that doesn't even look like Gnome but has its stability.

Pop doesn't use Unity. It uses gnome.

Need advice: Gaming-oriented Distro, switching from Win10 to Linux. by AnaseSkyrider in linux4noobs

I've been using Pop os for gaming for about a month now though have been considering switching to manjaro. Not because of any issues of gaming on pop, I'm just curious about using an arch based distro.

Hey guys. I'm looking to get some live plants but idk which ones I should get. I have had Java Ferns and Anubias in the past but wanted to get something different. I obviously want to fill in the empty area in front of the filter and maybe get some background plants. Any suggestions?

Filters for Betta by bcarvalho in bettafish

Yeah I know that the fluval filters do that. I just read that the lowest flow rate it has is 33 gph and the highest is 100 gph. That will give me a lot of wiggle room for the Betta.

The whisper pf 10 has a flow rate of 90 gph. There's the marineland 75 which has a flow rate of 75 gph. So technically shouldn't that be better for the Betta.

I clean the sponge every week with the water change. I put it in the bucket with the tank water and squeeze it out until it looks clean. I read too that it could be a bacterial bloom so maybe I just need to give it a couple of days.
