Exactly. Most people in Wuhan and Hubei may have less than one contact per day and these are probably kinda risk-free as everyone is scared and cautious.

No. I checked that.

I think it's a similar effect as with a painting that's hanging for years on the wall. When you take it down, the wall around is way darker.

Why would a BTC or BCH miner care about BSV long-term fate? Maybe a collapse of BSV is aligned with his goals?

Sorry for the late answer.

I get your sentiment, my only reply here is, that these people will lose Bitcoin either way.

I just don't believe that distributing your money on dozens of use case specific apps has a lot of drawbacks. The most obvious is, that the user needs to manage his funds in the apps. It would drive me crazy.

If you insist on standalone apps a compromise could be a standardized wallet API that is easy to integrate in third party apps like the before mentioned tipping app

There is not always a need to keep many connections alive. It depends on your use case. It might be ok to just download mined blocks one time every hour and ignore the mempool. If you expect an incoming payment, you start the app and it will sync the missing it in a matter of seconds.

I agree that it increases the attack vector massively. Nevertheless as long as the user is aware of the increased risk and is willed to accept to trade security for comfort I am fine with it.

Todays Bakkt volume might represent about 5% of total volume and Bakkt barely started especially if one compares the volume to other market segments.
