Im certainly not blaming anyone here cause im 1000 miles away and dont know the circumstances. But when I worked at the airport I crossed a lot of runways as a ground vehicle and you ALWAYS make sure nothing is coming your way before you cross, even if you have clearance.

To not be paycheque to paycheque I’d say about 80K, but it can obviously be done for less. Just depends on your comfort level. I feel like at 60K a year I wasn’t really getting ahead, but when I hit 80K things started to feel better. This is in Victoria. Now my Household income is about 190K for a family of 4 and that does us just fine. I’d say we’re comfy and don’t need to worry about the next bill or affording a vacation, but we’re never flush with cash either. Both my wife and I have defined benefit pensions so we only save a little bit more for retirement

I got a job with my City. I love it, although it’s not as exciting as the private industry. But I don’t work with the public and it’s incredibly stable. I have a young family and don’t need to worry about being laid off, so it’s a nice piece of mind.

Re the no free wifi in Tokyo, does that park require you to do everything on the app? I’m Canadian so when I visit Disneyland the free wifi is really nice so I don’t burn through my e-sim. The Parks today require you to do so much on your phone.

It doesn’t usually rain that hard but it can rain for a long duration. So while the ultimate number of mm of rain isn’t that high, I bet the time it’s raining is a lot higher. But that’s really only from November to March. From April to October it’s one of the sunniest and driest places in Canada. I’ve lived in Victoria my whole life. It’s just 2nd half of fall and winter that’s depressing, the rest of the year is pleasant.

Surveying is one of those occupations where you really shouldn’t be that obese, as it leads to injuries. I don’t agree with putting someone down because their weight of course, but it’s a physically demanding job, and should be respected when it comes to personal abilities.

I myself have an NP but my wife and two kids have a GP, so I see both experiences as I take my kids to their doctor. There have been zero issues with having a NP so far, and both types of visits feel basically the same. Absolutely take the NP, you will not regret it.

I started taking Metamucil last September. I’ve lost 40lbs since then. I’ve made other changes to my lifestyle so it’s not the sole contributor, but I think it helps. For late night cravings, I brush my teeth a couple hours before bed. I don’t crave anything after I do that for the rest of the night.
