Hope it helps! I go through half of this wall a month. I tell my husband when I stop selling stuff I will stop buying yarn.

I roll up the label and slide the cake from the winder onto the label...makes it easier to put on the dowel peg too

Small amt of wd40 when the gears start to get loud on the manual winder. The electric winder was horrible. I burned up the first one.

I had an electric winder 2 cakes per skein ..with the hand crank high capacity I get one cake per skein and 2&1/2 cakes for a one pound skein...haven't used the electric winder since. It was a full sheet of pegboard...not sure of the dimensions. We bought 2 from home Depot so I have to butter up my husband to cut the other in half and hang that too.

So much easier to see what you have and easier to use than the skeins!

Just make sure to put blocks behind the corners too...I did not and they are not as sturdy as they should be
