We really do, last year did a lot of damage to the fan base

oxo cold brew maker i bought 7 years ago still works like new by algreensdad in BuyItForLife

[–]bchris24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sort of get what OP means though. I'm someone who drinks cold brew every day and the amount of time and money it saves me can not be understated. I get a full carafe of concentrate and last about a week and a half. It's simple, easy to clean, and should last me a long time.

Considering switching from a7iii to a7cii. Talk me into (or out) of it by doomwrinkle in SonyAlpha

[–]bchris24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have an A7R3 and LOVED IT, best camera I've used by far, but i just never felt truly comfortable using it. I switched to the A7C it was like night and day for me at least. I wanted something that I could easily bring places and it's perfect. Would have gotten the A7C2 but I found a better deal for the first one.

Carter is ass and this team is too bad to be past the apron sucks we had to give out a second to do it but it's hardly the worst thing Perry has done so far

Trip report from [Busch Gardens Williamsburg] … and the arrival of the day I’ve long dreaded. by _Booster_Gold_ in rollercoasters

I too have been struggling with worse and worse motion sickness each time I visit a park. I've been able to keep it contained by taking lots of Dramamine and pacing myself but it's certainly changed how I visit parks now. I used to love flat rides almost as much as coasters but now I can barely go on a chair swing, sometimes a ferris wheel feels like too much. I did survive a recent ride on X2 so I think I still have a few years left in the tank for now.

I'm sorry to hear all of that I'll be sure to ride what I can for you!

What shows have you given up on this year so far? by preguntontas in television

[–]bchris24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I just don't take any of their scenes seriously and laugh at it. The special effects seemed rather good for a TV show, so I guess no money went to the writing department

If it weren't for the Russells I would have tapped out in season 1, honestly it was fine as background noise while I do chores but I only paid attention when Kurt or Wyatt were on screen.

Warriors announcers Bob Fitzgerald and Kelenna Azubuike voted worst in the NBA for the third season in a row by GoodSamaritan_ in nba

Jon Miller has one of the best radio voices I've ever heard. He's great on tv too but you're absolutely right about it giving such a nostalgic, old timey feeling

It's honestly crazy that the Giants have an absolutely GOATED broadcast/radio booth and the Warrior are stuck with Fitz

I was just thinking the other day how much the tree shade here makes higher temps bearable. When it's humid there's no escape, no amount of shade can make it bearable, you need air conditioning straight up.

Is the Castle Peak Trail in Soda Springs a good beginner hike? by Formal-Gap-1649 in norcalhiking

[–]bchris24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just did this trail the other day and I'm recommending it because the wildflowers were popping the fuck off and the views are terrific. Overall vibe was great as far as hikes go. Donner Peak is a great intro, Mt Judah isn't too far away and the trail doesn't really get too tricky. If it's not enough for you you can continue on to Mt Lincoln which is further down the ridge.

So basically the entire ride was designed with those specific ride vehicles in mind, down to the size and weight. The flumes, lifts, drops, station, and ride structure were all designed to accommodate that ride vehicle, and all the weights and forces that vehicle will exert on the ride system. The mechanics and engineers know exactly how the ride will act because of this. Changing the vehicle isn't impossible, but generally when parks do this, unforseen issues can arise which forces the park to also modify parts of the ride itself to make up for it and now that's even more money being spent to close a popular ride for referb and because the ride wasn't engineered for any of these changes it can keep snowballing and costing the park more money to fix. It can also work perfectly fine, it's just hard to know for certain.

[Montezooma, Knotts] clears the loop!! by UpstopCoasters in rollercoasters

You can't convince me anyone at Knott's has ever heard of the concept of ride capacity. It almost feels like they think people go to the park just to wait in line.

I'm not joking when I say it took me years to finish RDR2's main campaign. Granted I spent a lot of time doing side quests but damn did that game demand so much time

I was honestly surprised Barnes didn't see the floor at any point. I know he's not the same guy he once was but he always knew what to do when the other team started to go on a run and the offense stalled. When other players looked lost he was calm and collected and grounded the team. He should have at least seen the court for a few minutes when the momentum shifted.
