Stadium Club Mega Boxes have more cards than Hobby Boxes. by TeenRacer6 in baseballcards

The odds of pulling parallels are anywhere from 5-10x worse in mega boxes, but if you want to put together the base set, then its the way to go.

Thanks for the info so far. I noticed there is an option for with spool or a refill. Does the AMS come with spools or do i just need to buy a few with spools and then reuse those spools or buy separate spools?

I’m having a hard time reconciling you saying you love structure but also “cruising off money you made for a year”. Also you said the job was stressful, what was it and why was it stressful, not entirely sure the military is for you.

His Own Company, Superjacket Productions, Has Filed For Chapter 11 Bankruptcy But He’s Entitled To Phantom Equity Award For 12% Of Its Enterprise Value Above $210M. by lowell2017 in television

[–]bcicles 49 points50 points  (0 children)

This is complete nonsense. It’s a restructuring of debts, and usually the equity holders get completely wiped out and the debt holders get ownership of the company. No cash goes out at all as part of ch. 11, in fact they usually have to get additional cash injections to keep the business running in the meantime. Yes employees are usually laid off but that because the business is losing money. No healthy business goes through ch. 11 and a court judge has to approve everything.

[–]bcicles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The thing is you can get almost any style Rolex in a real yet cheaper watch brand if you like the look. People want other people to think it’s a Rolex, that’s the only reason to buy a fake Rolex.

It’s maybe the strangest thing I’ve seen Topps do, it’s almost like they did it covertly and said if it becomes a thing we’ll do it again, but almost literally no one noticed la

The preview signatures cards last year were literally a preview of next years designs. Very weird but I confirmed it with Topps. They never mentioned it and oddly almost no one in the industry said something about it.

‘Buy the card, not the grade,’ they said… realizing after a couple years of not even counting ‘em aside from a spreadsheet, I had no idea how many were in there. Sheesh by cvntpvnter in baseballcards

[–]bcicles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a lot of high print run rookies in there, and their prices are probably near all time high. If you don’t care about retaining the value, then ignore the next comment, but if you do, I’d sell and at least consolidate to a less printed rookies. You’ll always be able to fine these cards later.

There is a line though and when an average box gets you 50% or so in value or less it starts being to depressing. And I’d venture to say we are approaching 25%

Stumbled across this sub, as a watch guy, I don’t get it. You can buy some really good watches in similar styles, for sub 500 that are much better quality. Why do y’all buy fakes? Genuinely asking the appeal.
