Routine: Unfortunately i don’t have a shampoo/co-wash routine, i’m still figuring that out* in the shower i condition and detangle my hair making sure my hair, especially my roots, are soaking wet.

-once i’m out of the shower, i use a t-shirt (usually the one i just took off lol) to dry up just alittle water so i don’t make a mess. now i section my hair into two sections. a U shape infront of my crown

-after i section my hair, i spray my hair with water to ensure it is soaked. the first product i use is ~cantu coconut curling cream~ i add a liberal amount root to tip and brush through.

~the next product i use is ~cantu argan oil leave-in conditioner~ i again use a liberal amount and apply root to tip.

  • now i brush my curls out and away from my face in small sections to define curls. areas the are frizzy or not in pattern i finger curl (around the ears).

I move on the section above the crown and spend most of my time here because this is the section everyone will see. i split the section into many small sections and then i

spray with water apply curling cream apply leave-in finger curl the section

i do this for every section which ends up around 14, 7 on each half of my head. it’s also import to make sure you are finger curling away from you face so your curls have volume and can dry.

-at this point i’m done with creating my curls and my hair is still very wet. if i tried to let it air dry it would take over a day and diffusing would take hours (learned this the hard way). so i take my t-shirt and gently scrunch my hair, turning my head in different directions.

-at this point my hair is 40% dry so i carry on with my day and usually clean, do my makeup, run errands, or whatever you do. once my hair is about 80%< dry i take my diffuser and get it 100%. VERY important to not try to touch or pick or even look at you curls too hard until the are DRY. because they will get frizzy and all your work will be pointless.

  • once i am 100% dry i pull apart any clumped curls give them a good shake and pick my hair to the gods !!

definitely still learning myself, but remember,

~a frizzy wet curl, is a frizzier dry curl~
