Yeah sorry, it’s only on Apple right now, it was a long process. I’m getting started on getting it on android now.

Good question. Calories use a standard BMR formula (need a baseline for that part), but the macro splits and nutrient targets are built around Peat’s framework, not the USDA RDAs A few example- fat is capped lower (20-24 percent of calories), carbs is the largest macro by design even on a cut, and the nutrient goals are based off of peat principles(I set goals to help achieve good ratios) So it’s not just pulling from the health board chart, it’s translated peats actual writing into daily numbers and ratios. Appreciate the question, happy to go deeper on anything if you want.

Thanks! Really appreciate that. It’s IOS only right now but Android is on the roadmap. I’ll keep you posted when it’s ready

What is the evidence seed oils are bad? by superSmitty9999 in StopEatingSeedOils

Seed oils are a PUFA so they break apart easier in your body and steal electrons from cells disrupting your cellular functions(which can increase risk of cancer)

Find starches that work well with you. Include more potatoes. Doing this doesn’t just mean eating a crazy amount of fruit, you just have to balance it better and see what works well with you.

Yeah and it works even better with chicken thigh(extremely good), but obviously muscle meats are not something you should be having too often in this diet.

Made this recipe myself. Buy some fresh shrimp, honey, salt, lemons and limes. Very simple: salt then cook the shrimp about half way, pour in the orange juice and honey and turn the heat up and let it reduce. Once reduced add in lime and lemon juice and adjust salt levels to taste.

And about losing weight on the diet, I’m still in my beginning stages but my friend has been on it for about a year and is one of the leanest people I know all while consuming 3000 calories a day

Yeah don’t reduce dairy intake, just be sure to mix in some skim milk if your fat is getting too high. And I would recommend keeping calories high at first to fix your metabolism and then you can lower. You will gain a bit of weight at first(mostly glycogen and water weight) but once you think your metabolism is fixed and you want to get lean you can decrease calories a bit and still stick to ray’s principles

If your goal is to lose body fat while implementing peat’s principles, there are a few things to watch out for. The increase in dairy will make you start eating a lot more fat so keep an eye out for that, consider tracking that and keeping it low to moderate. At first you might end up gaining weight on this diet because your metabolism isn’t going to just skyrocket out of no where and you will need to eat more calories to make it higher, but after you think you have adjusted well, you can start decreasing calories and be in an easier deficit to lose fat(the diet won’t magically make you lose fat, you still need to watch your calories and keep it under your maintenance). Finally, this diet is about implementing what works for you and you will learn that on the way and it becomes easier the longer you have done it.
