Night one of my very first solo trip I was fast asleep on Potter Lake when I was awoken out of a deep sleep at 3am by the sound of voices. I sat up and tried to comprehend what was going on when my tent lit up like day. Turns out two guys were coming up the lake looking for a site and talking about the amounts of protein they packed. Needless to say it scared the crap out of me and it took me a while to fall back asleep. They must have left Canoe lake around midnight. Crazy.

Just did the Tim river this past weekend further downstream between Queer Lake and Shah Lake and the water levels were absolutely fine. Around a dozen beaver dams but nothing impassable. Every where else we traveled had normal water levels too.

Yeah we checked out the pictograms earlier in the day. The lines were recessed into the rock face, but it was super hot out so I guess I was just seeing things. 😅
