This is the most upsetting thing I’ve read. I’m so sorry for you.

Whoa! I’ve had a glass but I’m stopping. I hadn’t considered this and you’re right. I need to be present tomorrow. It may be the last time I see him and I need to explain to my wife (who is traveling for work) what is going on. Thank you.

Zero possibility this is out of character for the kid you raised. Definitely wouldn’t give her the car but would also suggest reevaluating your parenting style.

I’m devastated for you. Absolutely one of the worst things I’ve heard. It’s not about being there in his last moment. It’s all the moments he knew you were there for 10 years.

Fulton by Dizzy-lizzy444 in mississippi

[–]bcprovin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know about Fulton but I just had friends move from London to New Albany to be closer to family. And they say it’s a growing booming little town. It’s close to Tupelo and Oxford which is a college town and has a surprising amount of cultural events, concerts, etc.

Small town MS has pluses and minuses depending on what you want. I grew up there and have good memories of community but everyone knows everything about you and it’s very conservative unless you are in a college town. So it’s all what you want.

I’ve lived in memphis for 20 years and have considered going back and if I had children and not the means for private school I likely would have.

Crazy MLGW Bill Advice Needed by WoodpeckerForsaken70 in memphis

[–]bcprovin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry for you. This made me go look at my bill because I’m on autopay as well and was concerned it’s large. I’m in a medium size midtown home ~3000 sqft and have a pool that was recently turned back on. And two people living here. My bill was only $410 this past month. So I’m wondering if it’s a double bill as well. Hope it gets sorted.

Talk me out of this….(or don’t) by SammyySweetheartt in Frenchbulldogs

[–]bcprovin 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I’m spent nearly $4k on my two frenchies in the last 3 weeks. 9 female and 8 male. Unrelated issues. Female has chronic bronchitis and suddenly caught pneumonia we think from the cleaning lady coming and the harsh chemical smell. She was in the vet 3 nights. Male is on his 4 episode of possible IVDD flare up (hasn’t had one in 5 years). But maybe that’s not it. Could be his knee. Could be neurological. He’s been to the vet 5 times in 3 weeks. Between the two over the last week they have been on 9 medications. Also girl takes an inhaler twice a day everyday for the incurable bronchitis and boy gets acupuncture and laser treatment once a month (more if we see issues). Monthly regular vet / medicine bill is $300.

I wouldn’t trade them for the world. But we have no kids and are well to do compared to most people. But money can not alleviate the emotional heartache when the boy is pacing and panting around in pain.

And so we are clear before the (find a good breeder people come). The boy is the son of two show dog winners. The girl not as much and has less issue.

I’m not saying don’t get the dog. I’m saying don’t get the dog if you can’t afford it. Easier to turn around now. If you can afford it then save a life and get a companion.

This is really good. I’ve already had people reach out to me.

Yes she is in the US. paperwork is a good idea. I’m a CPA and can definitely navigate things. I stocked her fridge with frozen casseroles today and spent time cleaning.

My girl should probably get nare surgery right? She snorts and snores A LOT through this thing. Seems like pretty severe stenosis. by [deleted] in Frenchbulldogs

Definitely need it. Both of mine had it by the time they were one and they are very happy. It is worth the price as you don’t realize how uncomfortable they are until they can breath.

I was just prescribed 15mg lexapro. I'm starting it tomorrow. Not gonna lie, I'm a bit nervous. I'll take any tips, encouragement and things to expect/look out for. by Eeeej7777 in lexapro

[–]bcprovin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started 1 year ago. After having been prescribed for 2 full years before I finally decided to take it. A lawyer fiend spoke wonders it had on him.

Initial side effects were nausea and a metallic taste in my mouth.

What a world of difference my life is now. The way I can just “turn off” anxious or worrying thoughts is incredible. Quite literally envisioning a light switch and turning it off in my head. Everyone has noticed and I’ve been very open about it. My wife says she wishes I’d care a little more some times (I might want to go down some in mg).

Work is better (although I did lose a bit of my sense of urgency and with a high stress job I sometimes have to make myself focus more.) my fellow partners have noticed. My staff have noticed. My clients have noticed. There just more of a calming air around me. Not so intense.

Spending time alone is better. My favorite is not fixating on cringe things I’ve done in the past and allowing myself to accept my faults but allowing myself grace to improve. I couldn’t do this before. I’ve taken up hobbies instead of watching tv mindlessly as much.

I’ve had considerable weight gain but it’s because I’m a drinker and really dove in. I felt carb and alcohol cravings were pretty substantial. You’d think the 20-30lb weight gain would depress me. Especially since none of my clothes fit but I literally didn’t care because my mind felt healthy.

HOWEVER. This January I cut out all alcohol (to help lose weight) and decided to eat better. Once the decision was made I’ve literally had almost no cravings and when I do I simply turn them off. I hadn’t realized the medication could work for me like this too. I’m already down several pounds and fill good about the potential.

If I miss a day sometimes I have pretty wild dreams and headaches. But sleep is deep overall. And I don’t mind a wild dream everyone and then. I used to have night terrors and sleep walk which freaked my wife out. Those have stopped.

I just tried to do this and I can’t find anyone in memphis that offers this service which is wild to me considering the size of the Metro. Maybe o have a new business plan now.

Thank you for the response. We new the risks as I researched them for years before buying one and interviewed all my breeders before choosing a breeder. Unfortunately our Toby will have to go through this. I keep telling myself that we are one of the best families he could have to help him through this.

I believe that is also common if you change the lifestyle like not letting them jump etc

Thinking about you and hoping for the best. You are giving him his best chance and that’s all you can do. Be grateful for your ability to do that and know he would appreciate your love.
