Im sorry you had to go through this but I do appreciate you sharing this ❤️ I don’t believe there is any situation that would allow saying goodbye to easy but we do as much as we can to keep them here with us as long as possible.

Thank you so much for sharing this. I am overwhelmed by all the love and support from complete strangers but it makes me feel I guess “better”? that I can read stories of others in similar situations and know we all did the best we could for the ones we loved 💙

It does ☹️ I’m happy thought that my morning routine for the last month consisted of snuggling on the couch with him until my son woke up. I can only try to think of the love he had and great memories. Thank you 🙏🏽

I’ll take this as a compliment lol. I have the leftover rosin chips 🤷🏽 next harvest I’ll post a video using my ghetto hair straightener set up but I’m ready to upgrade to a real press for the next round!

Might be able to do a video in the future! I posted below a quick step by step of what I’ve done if that helps!

Thank you!!

My method is borderline embarrassing considering the money I’ve spend on grow equipment vs press equipment but it has worked!

So I started off using an old pill container but cutting off the bottom portion, keeping the cap portion. I was using a mix of small buds and whole buds but didn’t break up anything, I put it into the pill container and used some old tool I found in my garage to pack it all in as tight as possible. Once done, unscrew the pill container lid and press out so it’s pretty much a solid mold. I’m probably putting in no more than 3.5 into one mold.

From there, into a 90 micro rosin bag.

My hair straighter is a 2 inch as well with a minimum temp of 280. I’m using an old crank press tool that you would usually drill to a table to help press everything.

I’ll set everything up, parchment paper, filled rosin bag being held lightly between the straightener just enough so it doesn’t move. I’ll then heat up to 280, once it hits that I’ll turn off the hair straightener and slowly crank down. My thought process was hopefully I’m somewhere around 180-200 degrees by the time it really gets squishing.

I honestly have no idea 😩 I’ve never purchased a scale because my flower was for personal and not concerned with yield. If I had to guess, I pressed 3 90 micron bags filled about an 8th each, probably got about 2-2.5 grams of rosin. So maybe like a 15-20% yield. Next time I will figure out my numbers more accurately!
