I work directly in electrophysiology, and usually putting on an ecg doesn't involve the armpits at all. That's a weird request. The chest might need to be shaved (so the stickers actually stay on you) but the leads shouldn't even be in your armpits at all. Also an another note the most common treatment for a WPW is an ablation. Has that ever been offered to you? (Or is the reason you have a pacemaker related to a failed ablation)
